This Christmas, Michelle Ong, founder of the First Initiative Foundation and Lee Gardens have joined forces to present the first-ever pet-themed Christmas celebration, Furrytales – a unique charitable art experience to help raise awareness for our beloved furry friends.

The opening ceremony saw many celebrities and socialites, including Gin Lee, Roxanne Tang, Adam Pak and Amanda Cheung, meet in the city’s finest to gather and celebrate their love for animals.

Dinner was served at the new restaurant Wellwellwell, with delicacies such as sesame chicken, salt-baked fish, and churros to die for – a twist on the Mexican classic with Cantonese dough sticks.

Dedicated to creating a sustainable community and recognising the integral role of pets in Hong Kong households, this “celebration of the harmony between humans and animals” aims to build awareness for pet welfare and a platform to promote arts and culture, bringing great art into the heart of Hong Kong.

Collaborating with Wild Child Creatives, the initiative features site-specific art installations featuring two international artists represented by Tang Contemporary Art: Beijing-based Zhu Jinsi – designer of the exceptional 6-metre tall Christmas tree in the heart of Causeway Bay, and Kitty Narod, a Thailand-based emerging artist whose works create a vibrant atmosphere.

Set across three locations of Lee Gardens: Magical Garden, Cosy Christmas, and Rooftop Spa, Furrytales consists of various pet-friendly activities from a weekend market, pet family portrait lounge, innovative workshops, to a pet adoption corner.

Head over to Lee Gardens One & Two this winter between 28 November 2021 to 9 January 2022 for a one-of-a-kind experience!
