Milan Fashion Week SS23: Here are the #legend picks

Sep 27, 2022

The much anticipated Milan Fashion Week SS23 came to an end with the unveiling of new collections from different Maisons. To wrap up this week’s glitz and glamour, here are six #legend picks from Milan Fashion Week

Diesel

All about denim, utility, pop and play: that’s what Diesel showcased to us at this Milan Fashion Week SS23. Breaking a Guinness World Record by holding the runway at the heart of the world’s largest ever inflatable sculpture, Diesel presented the collection trimmed with raw denim for pure Maison energy.

It also debuted nylon utility jackets and flying trousers with cotton layers; dresses and trousers made from organza layers; and double-layer printed T-shirts with smiley holes cut into the top layer to reveal the print beneath. It reveals that denim can go beyond the mainstream and become a stylish fashion piece.

Moschino

Shown on a runway featuring a Roman fountain front and centre, Moschino unveiled playfully incorporated inflatable pool toys and balloons twisted into heart shapes. This re-imagination of the Maison includes figures across suiting, refined daywear, graphic-impact eveningwear, and accessories.

In Moschino’s long-standing tradition, each piece holds some wink or trick of the eye and is layered with double entendre and wit. Vivid colours of yellow and blue bring a ray of sunshine, and the pink blazer and skirt set are all part of the interplay.

Versace

Capturing the energy of the dark, gothic goddess, Versace filled its runway with supermodels Gigi Hadid, Vittoria Ceretti and Binx. Black, purple, and hints of fuchsia were running through the entire collection, coming together in looks both high-glamour and hard-edged, diva and subversive.
