Somm at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, is all set to welcome diners for an extra-luxurious holiday experience. A continuation of the signature SOMMkind of brunch, the restaurant offers a special festive brunch with 90-minute free-flow drinks. Available on December 24 – 25 and January 1, 2023, the highlights include wild mushroom and shallot tartlet, black winter truffle and ragout jus, and more.

Serving on the same day, the four-course and six-course dinners are other options to consider. Diners can indulge in dishes such as wild duck and foie gras pâté en route with kumquat and pineapple relish, Binchotam-grilled EMO wagyu overnight roasted celeriac, and more, while a three-course kid’s menu is also available for the little ones.

A feast at home is another option to consider this holiday. Feast at East Hong Kong offers Christmas classics and wholesome trimmings delivered straight to your doorstep. From ranch-raised whole-roasted turkey with herb and mushroom stuffing and Australian bone-in-shoulder ham with spiced honey and orange glaze to roasted Kipfler potatoes, your table is just one click away from a festive spread.

Orders must be placed within 48 hours and picked up at the restaurant. Sweet treats of croissant bread and butter pudding with brandy custard and classic panettone are also available.

Bifteck

The French-Japanese beef specialist Bifteck offers an extravagant menu from December 24 to 26. This seven-course Bonne Fête à Bifteck menu includes homemade brioche of beef and veal tartare topped with dry caviar, seared Japanese squid sashimi cuts, 15-day-dry-aged wagyu tongue and more.

Seafood options are also available, including South African grilled abalone and abalone liver on top of a bed of barley risotto. Priced at HK$1,280 per person, two sittings per event are offered from 6 pm to 8 pm and 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

Newly-opened Italian diner Trattoria Kagawa by Mihara debuts its festive menu with two lavish Italian-Japanese Christmas feasts, a celebratory lunch menu and free-flowing bubbles over a hearty brunch on weekends and holidays.

As its name suggests, Buone Feste – Prima Classe brings first-class holiday happiness through six classic Italian courses including meaty entrée Ossobuco with white ragu and black sole Meuniere caponata. An opulent seven-course menu, Buone Feste – Superiore, is also available and includes abalone and amadai from Aomori in northern Japan.

Honjokko

For those who want something more than turkey for Christmas dinner, Pirata Group’s Honjokko offers an array of Japanese delicacies. The elevated sushi club starts the meal with signature spinach, chilled sesame sauce, pickled mustard seeds, and soft shell crab tempura paired with green chilli mayo.

The main dishes of tempura yasai maki and sashimi are not to be missed, while freshly shucked French oysters are another option to try. Festive brunch is available from December 24 to 27, while dinner is only available on Christmas Eve and Christmas.

The finest French-Mediterranean diner LPM brings special dishes and cocktails for Christmas. Led by head chef Maurizio Pace, a range of exquisite dishes beginning with appetisers, include Foie Gras terrine, seafood tower, angel’s hair pasta with pesto and prawns, and more. Among the hearty mains are roasted turbot with artichokes and langoustine ravioli with truffle.

Enhancing the festival season further, LPM also offers a selection of cocktails; dubbed “Greetings for our Friends”, five letters are personified as different cocktails, each dedicated to a friend, a parent, a lover, to society, and to life.

Tangram

The playful Japanese-inspired restaurant Tangram invites diners to enjoy the festive spirit with its Christmas lunch and dinner. Executive chef Keith Chan created the Tangram Christmas Bento Lunch, priced at HK$428, starting with the chef’s appetisers or soup of the day, a choice of one of four main courses and dessert. Highlight dishes include roasted turkey roll with honey glazed ham, grilled beef rib-eye, and tiger prawn linguine.

A five-course Tangram Christmas set dinner is another option. Available from December 24 to 27, the surf and turf menu includes crab meat, mango, avocado salad, and creamy lobster cappuccino, while meal options feature grilled beef tenderloin and herb-marinated lamb cutlet. The meal also comes with a bottle of Bottega Rose sparkling wine for a minimum booking of two guests.
