The Lamborghini Huracán Spyder, now in Hong Kong

The roads around Hong Kong have never seen such a level of brute force and finesse. The official launch of the one-of- a-kind Lamborghini Huracán Spyder treated the city to a touch of open-air motoring class.

The vehicle is a majestic combination of high-performance and luxury, ideally suited to the most luxe of all Hong Kong lifestyles. With its open top, this vehicle is an especially good fit for both the scenic and inner-city driving experiences that Hong Kong offers.

The raw power of the Huracán Spyder follows in the footsteps of Lamborghini tradition. The vehicle adheres to the form follows function principle, with the end result an outfit that is as exciting to drive as it is to look at.

The interior of the Lamborghini Huracán Spyder

A pure, naturally-aspirated V10 engine, with the unit boasting 610 horsepower and a top speed of 324 km/h continues The Raging Bull’s tradition of big-engined beauties. Despite the immense power, there is no compromise on handling, with the innovative, electronically controlled all-wheel drive function allowing for state-of-the-art driving behaviour.

The car pushes through 14 per cent less CO2 than its predecessor, the Gallardo Spyder. That green payoff comes despite a significant performance increase. This is a machine that goes from standing to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. The Doppia Frizione seven- speed dual-clutch gearbox makes changing gears easy enough that it feels an afterthought, while the lightweight chassis provides torsion stiffness so exceptional for an open-top car that it handles with the precision of a race car.

If there is one thing you can be sure of when you step into the vehicle, it is that there has been no expense spared to offer the pinnacle of comfort and pleasure.

At just 1.18-metres high, the car has a low, powerful appearance that is complemented by two movable fins that become visible during the process of opening the roof and perfectly define the design of the open car.

Open-top driving is a guaranteed pleasure, thanks to an integrated duct that reduces turbulence within the cockpit, while the twin lateral wind guards ensure perfect acoustic comfort that permits conversation even at high speed.

Quickly becoming an iconic Lamborghini in its own right, the vehicle’s lightweight, electrohydraulic soft-top exudes a wow factor that makes the car’s presence felt in any setting. Available in black, brown and red, the roof fits perfectly into the vehicle’s silhouette while up, and when down is hidden away so efficiently it goes unnoticed.

An innovative cockpit is the centrepiece of the interior, with an eye-catching 31-centimetre display ensuring all the required information is at the driver’s fingertips. Part of the new standard-fit multimedia Lamborghini Infotainment System II, the screen offers a razor-sharp display and can be controlled from the steering wheel. The interior can be extensively individualised and there are five soft-leather trim choices.

Built to the uncompromising quality standards of the production facility at the Automobili Lamborghini headquarters, the Huracán Spyder offers a unique driving experience that has very few rivals in Hong Kong.
