Boghossian: A night of cultural heritage and creativity at The Academy Ball 2024

The Academy Ball, a highlight of Hong Kong’s cultural calendar, is a vital fundraiser in support of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA). Serving as the luxury sponsor for the event, Boghossian provided an element of glamour and sophistication to the event.
This year’s event was themed “voyage” to celebrate the power of art to connect cultures and communities. It was inspired by Boghossian’s Palace Voyages collection that draws on the art, architecture, and cultural milestones of the historic Silk Road. From ancient palaces to timeless civilizations, the collection reimagines these wonders through contemporary jewellery design, reflecting the beauty of cultural exchange and the legacy of craftsmanship.
“Art is a universal language that transcends borders and unites communities,” said Regine Ngan, Boghossian’s Managing Director, Asia. “Through our partnership with The Academy Ball, we are proud to celebrate the next generation of artists and support the Academy’s meaningful work in cultivating creativity.”
Led by event chair ladies Candy Chuang and Michelle Cheng and attended by a who's who guest list of Hong Kong’s social and cultural circles, it was bound to be a glamorous gala for the ages.
There was stunning live dance and drama performances by HKAPA students, which gave benefactors a taste of the talents of future generations of artists. The evening ended on a high note with the auction of three exquisite jewellery lots generously donated by Boghossian: two from the Merveilles collection and one set from the Inlay Shine collection. These stunning creations inspired spirited bidding from the guests, with the bids benefiting the HKAPA’s future educational initiatives.
Staying true to Boghossian’s philosophy of bridging tradition and innovation, the jewellery brand continues to celebrate and support the next generation of artists with its endeavours.
