First BMW M5 with M Hybrid powertrain for unmatched power

BMW has launched the latest iteration of its iconic M5, marking a significant milestone in the world of high-performance sedans. This new model combines cutting-edge technology with a striking design, setting new standards for luxury and performance.
The new BMW M5 features a 4.4 L BMW M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine with an electric motor that delivers an impressive 727 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 3.5 s. The new M HYBRID technology enhances performance and offers an all-electric mode, allowing drivers to reach a speed of up to 140 km/h while enjoying an electric range of 67-69 km* on a single charge.

Drivers will appreciate the versatility offered by the M Hybrid system, which includes five distinct driving modes. These modes allow you to tailor your driving experience to your preferences, whether you seek efficiency or exhilarating performance.
“Hybrid” mode allows for an interplay between the combustion engine and electric motor; “Electric” mode is as its name suggests and is best for everyday use and short commutes; “eControl” mode maximises the effectiveness of the brake energy recuperation while maintaining battery charge at a constant level for electric journeys; the newly introduced “Dynamic” and “Dynamic Plus” modes primes the drive system and cooling system to keep output at a constantly high level, and maximises output by operating the engine cooling system at full capacity, respectively.
Charging convenience is a priority for BMW. The new BMW M5 features a Combined Charging Unit that supports AC charging up to 7.4 kW. This capability ensures flexibility for daily charging needs, making it practical for everyday use.

The design of the new BMW M5 is equally impressive. It features more prominent wheel arches and side skirt extensions, giving it an athletic stance that distinguishes it from previous BMW 5 Series sedan. The BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille and tinted black headlights create a striking visual impact both day and night. The high-gloss black exterior package - with the M individual colour in "M Isle of Man Green Metallic" (and a leather Merino Kyalami orange and black for its interior) - adds sophistication, enhancing the car's dynamic aesthetic.
The chassis design has undergone a complete transformation. It now includes a double-wishbone front axle and a five-link rear axle, enhancing rigidity and cornering stability. The adaptive M suspension provides optimal feedback from the road, ensuring precise handling and control.

The launch event in Hong Kong also showcased classic BMW M5 models, highlighting the rich history and evolution of the series. From the first V8 engine in the 1998 M5 (E39) to the high-revving V10 in the 2005 model (E60), the first turbocharged M5 in the 2011 M5 (F10) and the blistering M5 (F90) from 2017, which was the brand’s first car to be equipped with the newly all-wheel drive M xDrive. Each iteration has contributed to the BMW M5 legacy.

A notable highlight is the return of the BMW M5 Touring after a 15-year hiatus. This model promises to redefine high-performance touring vehicles by combining exceptional performance with practicality.
The new BMW M5 is now available for viewing at the BMW Tsuen Wan Showroom in Hong Kong. Enthusiasts can experience its cutting-edge performance, bold design, and advanced hybrid technology firsthand.
For those eager to discover the latest evolution of M power, visiting the showroom offers an exclusive opportunity to explore BMW's commitment to innovation and high-performance driving.
