Since 2006, Orchidée Impériale has embodied Guerlain skincare’s spirit of excellence, combining science, nature and sublime sensory qualities in the service of an extraordinary quest. The orchid flower – a result of 86 million years of evolution – boasts incredible phytochemical assets and an almost inexhaustible supply of molecules for research.

In 2022, Guerlain’s research centre, the Orchidarium, discovered two new orchids with exceptional regenerative power: Gastrodia elata and Dendrobium fimbriatum. By infusing all their molecular totality into Guerlain’s Orchid Totum molecular extract in the Orchidée Impériale skincare, it becomes a cutting-edge technology capable of increasing skin regeneration fivefold.

Now in 2023, Guerlain researchers have successfully developed two exclusive new extracts dedicated to skin’s fundamental needs which are hydration, nutrition and regeneration through the provision of orchid oleo-concentrate and orchid water. These helped in enriching two new Orchidée Impériale skincare products: the Rich Cream and Essence-Lotion Concentrate.

The new Rich Cream offers skin age-defying efficacy and immediate nutrition. By regenerating the ten upper layers of the driest skin, the cream aims to preserve, improve and prolong the twelve fundamental signs of youth. The new Essence-Lotion Concentrate, on the other hand, encapsulates the power of longevity in a new and equally generous and sophisticated case. This lotion joins Orchidée Impériale The Essence-in-Lotion, whose fresher and reinvigorating formula increases skin’s hydration by 56 percent after six hours. Its elegant noirine gradation glass bottle in an exceptional 140 ml format comes with a new pump delivers a dose four times more generous than a conventional pump for easier use.
