Every season deserves its own signature handbags and there is a selection worth noting this year. Aimee Yan shows you designs that range from timeless classics to creative reinventions

Anteprima’s wirebag

This season, Anteprima collaborates with Japanese contemporary artist Takahiro Iwasaki, renowned for his miniature sculptures and installations that reconstruct entire worlds from the most delicate materials. Often beginning his creative explorations in Hiroshima, Iwasaki’s works meditate on urban rebirth and the passage of time.

In the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, bags with vibrant colour palettes, radiating a sense of movement and life throughout. The classic Lucchetto Miniatura Wirebag reinterprets its iconic twist lock through the motif of reflection, creating a poetic play of mirrored symmetry. Meanwhile, the Standard Miniature and Twist Wirebag embrace bold colour-blocking and geometric textures, accompanied by interchangeable multi-coloured wire straps, adding both versatility and artistic flair.

Chloé’s Paddington bag

Among the pantheon of iconic handbags, the Chloé Paddington holds an irreplaceable place. First introduced in 2005, it became emblematic of the IT Bag era. Now, reimagined for the Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, it returns to reclaim its spotlight.

As proof of just how versatile the bag is, look no further than how your favourites carry them. Kendall Jenner pairs the Paddington bag with jeans for her daily casual walk, while Seulgi from Red Velvet bring her Paddington bag on special nights out. Simply put, the Paddington bag is just the bag that suits every occasion.

For the design, the revived version retains its signature padlock charm but with lighter hardware and a redesigned zip structure. Washed leather softens the silhouette, lending a lived-in character rather than a pristine distance. It’s an aesthetic of beautiful imperfection, capturing the poetry of everyday wear. With a newly refined zip opening and rebalanced strap proportions, it’s more intuitive and comfortable for modern use.

Diesel’s Grab-D handbag

At the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2025 event, Mirror’s Anson Lo paired an all-black denim look with the Grab-D, allowing the bag’s sculptural curves to take centre stage. Playful yet bold, it can also be customised with different charms, ensuring that every Grab-D becomes a truly individual statement.

The Grab-D bag continues its rebellious aesthetic, shaped with deliberate creases that create an artfully undone, croissant-like volume, meticulously calculated yet effortlessly cool.

Dolce & Gabbana’s My Sicily bag

For Dolce & Gabbana, Sicily is more than just a place,  it’s an attitude. First unveiled in 2009, the iconic Sicily Bag now returns in a softer, more everyday form as the My Sicily bag.

Mun Ka-young as the brand global ambassador, try on the My Sicily bag in pairing her all black outfit, simple yet elegance. The new version is crafted from plongé lux leather that is supple, smooth, and faintly luminous. Rounded contours are balanced with piped edges for structure; details remain understated yet refined. The flap conceals a magnetic fastening, ensuring a seamless open-and-close motion, while engraved metal nameplates and cylindrical hardware continue the house’s signature bronze-toned aesthetic.

Each bag also features a customisable leather tag and an integrated NFC chip that stores information on its craftsmanship, traceability, and care. What a perfect dialogue between classic design and modern sensibility.

Tory Burch’s Romy hobo bag

At the brand’s Hong Kong IFC opening event, Korean actor Lee Soo-hyuk styled the Romy Hobo with an earthy winter palette, proving its unisex appeal. Whether for the office, weekend getaways or long journeys, this bag integrates effortlessly into everyday life.

Hong Kong singer Marf Yau and Laurinda Ho style the Romy bag with black-to-black ensemble and earthy tone dress. The bag extends functional minimalism which align with the brand’s philisophy, a piece that blends softness and structure through the contrast of suede and crocodile-embossed leather.

Valentino Garavani’s Panthea bag

Debuting in the Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, the Panthea bag swiftly emerged as the new star of Valentino Garavani’s handbag line. Worn by brand ambassadors and friends of the house such as our previous Legend cover star Freen Sarocha, Anne Hathaway, Bella Hadid, Rihanna, and more. It exudes effortless poise, whether for daywear or evening occasions.
