Chinese Executive Chef Chan Yan Tak at the two-Michelin-starred Lung King Heen continues to impress with innovative new takes on traditional Chinese New Year staples. Their Poon Choi feeds four people, and features a curated selection of 16 premium ingredients like South African abalone, dried fish maw, roasted goose and dried scallop. Four puddings join the line-up this year. There are the beloved classics like the Lunar New Year Pudding with Coconut MilkAbalone and Turnip Pudding with Conpoy; and Taro Pudding with Black Truffle and Air-dried Meat; as well as a new Water Chestnut Pudding with Candied Citron that is light and crisp.

Led by executive Chinese chef Jayson Tang, the culinary team at Man Ho Chinese Restaurant has carefully crafted various sweet and savoury puddings for the Year of the Horse. Light and refreshing, the Lotus Root Cake with Osmanthus and Preserved Tangerine Peel featires locally grown fresh lotus root enriched with dried osmanthus and tangerine peel. Alongside are traditional options like the Turnip Pudding with Assorted Dried Seafood and Chinese New Year Pudding with Mashed Red Dates.

Their Michelin-starred takeaway Poon Choi returns, served in a reusable cast iron pot and layered with 18 lavish ingredients like Australian sea cucumber, 33-head South African dried abalone, tea-smoked local chicken, and add-on braised dried oysters.

Meanwhile, Ying Jee Club’s best-seller Turnip Pudding with Conpoy and Air-dried Meat is packed with the finest conpoy, aromatic Chinese sausages, air-dried meat and dried shrimps.
