If you are curating your Halloween playlist, here are some songs David Ho recommends adding to it
Lady Gaga – Disease
Gaga’s comeback track is a return to the sounds of her The Fame Monster era. “Disease” is infectious (get it?) and melodramatic to the point of apocalyptic. The music video, which just dropped today in time for Halloween, is also suitably horror themed.
Vixx – Voodoo Doll
“Voodoo Doll” is the second single from K-pop boyband Vixx’s debut album. The music video was initially given an R rating for its disturbing imagery and violence. The horror movie style video saw the members mutilated, imprisoned and manipulated by a female captor with a voodoo doll. A statement on the craziness of K-pop fandom or just a horror take on NSync’s marionette moment in “Bye Bye Bye”? You decide.
Kim Petras – There Will Be Blood
Kim Petras is a big Halloween enthusiast having released a mixtape of songs just for spooky season. There are tons of great songs on there and “There Will Be Blood” is an anthemic number that is bound to get the dancefloor pumping (with blood).
Fifth Harmony – I’m in Love with a Monster
Fifth Harmony’s contribution to the Hotel Transylvania 2 soundtrack is this pop bop. The catchy and cheeky track can be interpreted as being about falling in love with a bad boy or one who is packing a monster (censored). Either way, we love it. The memorable lip sync between Anetra and Sasha Colby on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 to this also made us fall in love with the song even more.
Enhypen – Bite Me
If you were Team Edward during the Twilight fandom wars, you’ll appreciate this song. The music video sees the guys of Enhypen dressed up as sexy dancing vampires, which reminds us of Ocean Park’s Too Hot to K-Oppa male revue happening this year.
