Father’s Day is just around the corner and we’re taking this opportunity to celebrate our favourite dad looks. Funnily enough, dad style has never been so cool with many of these looks gracing the runway. Hawaiian shirts, looser-fitting pants and even sandals have all been adopted by millennials looking to give their signature style a #throwback twist.
For those who haven’t decided on what to get for your dad, take inspiration from these trends inspired by dads everywhere with pieces from brands such as Vetements and Gucci.
The Hawaiian Shirt
We’ve all been there. Before you’ve even set off to whatever tropical destination you’re heading to for that family vacation, good ol’ dad is busting out his favourite can’t-tear-your-eyes-away floral print shirt. Hawaiian shirts are one of the most notorious holiday looks of all time. There’s no denying that patterns and florals are never too much for summer. It’s all about the way you wear it so the shirt doesn’t end up wearing you.

Chunky sandals (with the optional pair of socks)
Maybe they like the comfort or just couldn’t be bothered to get a pedicure, but we have no clue why dads (or men in general for that matter) decide to start wearing socks with their sandals. For better or for worse, thanks to the rise of normcore and the popularity of slides – wearing socks has actually become cool. No matter what he wants to wear them with, these new styles will keep him hip.

Loafers
Loafers have become the biggest thing in recent years but they were once seen as an old person’s shoe. You dad will love a new pair to add to his collection.
