Miavana is on the island of Nosy Ankao off the northeastern coast of Madagascar. The resort being built there will comprise of villas and offer a plethora of diversions: scuba diving and snorkelling; turtle-watching, whale-watching and dolphin-watching, trekking in search of lemurs, forest walks; fly-fishing and deep sea fishing; jet skiing; sightseeing by helicopter; and a luxurious spa. The resort owners are said to be making every effort to preserve the island and its natural beauty.
