Dior Homme releases a BMX bike

The first official images of Dior Homme's BMX bike were shot by Patrick Demarchelier

Dior Homme’s Kris Van Assche has long been inspired by 1990’s street culture, so maybe it’s no surprise that the Parisian house is releasing a BMX bike. According to the brand, “the bike itself reflects the shape of the cult model born in the early nineties.” First teased back in October by Van Assche, the bike is a collaboration with Bogarde – a Parisian bike label inspired by 1980’s bike designs. This is the first of three designs, with this one featuring chrome-plating matched with black and red accents, Dior branding and of course, the label’s signature Bee insignia. Retailing for €2,500 EUR ($3,200 USD), the bike will debut at Dubai’s streetwear convention, SoleDXB between December 7 to 9. If you want to get your hands on one of these badboys you’ll have to be prepared. Only 70 will be produced and you’ll have to make a special request at your local Dior boutique.

Whether we’ll start seeing these on the streets or if die-hard fans of the brand will just keep these safe at home – only time will tell. But the bike looks pretty cool with Dior Homme’s signature slim suit and its new chunky sneaker in these images shot by the legendary Patrick Demarchelier.
