Tired of paying 50 cents for a plastic bag? For a mere US$1,100 you could own your very own reusable shopping bag!

Balenciaga is back again with another high-low creation, hot off the heals of their US$2,145 interpretation of Ikea’s iconic Frakfta bag (which retails at US$0.99, by the way).

 

This new creation is a calf-skin leather, Balenciaga-branded shopping bag, identical in design to the paper ones used at the store for purchases. The internet is, of course, up in arms about the tongue-in-cheek creation by designer Demna Gvasalia, whose injection of humour has been a welcome relief from the overly-serious world of fashion, but we say, now everyday can be a Balenciaga shopping day!

Note: the bag is already sold out online so Gvasalia is obviously doing something right!
