Hublot embraces the festive season with its vibrantly coloured takes on the Big Bang Unico and Classic Fusion Chronograph

When it comes to watches, most of us think of the colours gold, silver, black and blue. When it comes to Christmas, however, it’s all about red and green. It would seem the two don’t exactly go hand in hand, but that hasn’t stopped the R&D department at Swiss luxury watch company Hublot from pushing the boundaries of innovation to create vividly coloured watches that also come in classic festive hues.

The Big Bang Unico Red Magic is in fact the brand’s first vibrantly coloured ceramic timepiece. Every component of the 45mm case is made from this special material, which is extremely resilient and even harder than conventional ceramics. The vivid red colour – symbolising power, passion and glory – is achieved through a major innovation whereby a fusion of pressure and heat sinters the ceramic without burning the pigments, and is matched with a lined structured red rubber strap.

Another highlight of the Big Bang Unico series is the Integral, the first with a fully integrated metal bracelet whose first link is fused with the case. The three colours on offer are black ceramic, King Gold and titanium.

But if you’re on the hunt for a touch of green this season, look no further than the Classic Fusion Chronograph Titanium Green. The sleek style features a satin-finished and polished 45mm titanium case, satin-finished Green Sunray dial and green alligator or lined rubber strap. It’s powered by the HUB1143 Self-Winding Chronograph Movement with a power reserve of 42 hours.

Hublot’s motto is “Be the first, be unique, be different!” and these coloured timepieces certainly live up to it in all their festive glory.
