In their latest “A Style Legacy” campaign with acting duo Hedwig Tam and Jason Wu, the jeweller unveils the CTF-HUÁ Collection that offers the same ancient gold crafting techniques in a fresh, contemporary look.
Infusing classic symbols, totems and cultural elements, the pieces bridge tradition with modernity – keeping the heritage of fine “goldsmithing” alive. This versatile collection comprises fashion statement pieces for any occasions.
This art of gold-making techniques and auspicious motifs delivers an eye-catching collection with sleek lines and rich layers. The overall matte texture does not diminish the original gold colour of the dense lustrous precious metal. On the contrary, it enhances the overall look of the pieces.
The expertise in which every “filigree” and “hammering” is done takes years of meticulous practice and devotion. In filigree, the craftsman pull thin, pliable gold threads through a wire-drawing board, to then twist, curl and plate them to form intricate patterns and shapes. While in the stage of hammering, the metal will further be beaten into thin pieces to be placed on models before shaping the detailed patterns on the surface.
