Iconic Italian carmaker Alfa Romeo returns to Hong Kong

Iconic automotive brand, Alfa Romeo, is celebrating its return to Hong Kong and Macau as it prepares to increase its presence in Asia Pacific

The completely renewed range – the latest new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Alfa Romeo Stelvio usher in the brand’s new chapter in Hong Kong.

Founded in 1910 in Milan, Italy, Alfa Romeo has designed and crafted some of the most stylish and exclusive cars in automotive history. Entering the 21st century, the carmaker aims to reinvent sportiness with its unique and bold attitude. 

Its return to Hong Kong and Macau markets marks the brand’s intent of expanding in the region. 

“Entering the new Hong Kong and Macau markets is consistent with the strategy to expand Alfa Romeo’s presence in key markets around the world,” says Arnaud Leclerc, Alfa Romeo’s chief of Operations Outside Europe. “Our cars are built for the passionate and daring, which makes the brand a perfect fit for our customers in Hong Kong and Macau who love life.”

Alfa Romeo closed the first quarter of 2023 with record data – registrations were up 136 percent in Europe, with doubling of market share compared to 2022. Performance in key countries such as Italy, France, Germany and the Netherlands doubled, with more than twofold its market share compared to Q1 2022. 

At the Alfa Romeo brand introduction press conference this week, Alfa Romeo Hong Kong teased its initial product line-up which consists of the award-winning and timeless Giulia and Stelvio. The Giulia offers attractive design and unparalleled driving experience, while the Stelvio is a beautiful SUV designed for the senses, delivering performance, versatility, comfort and technology.

Azzurri Automobile, who has been appointed as the car brand’s official distributor in Hong Kong and Macau, announced that it will soon be opening the doors to its new Alfa Romeo Showroom in Hong Kong, located at Gloucester Road, Wanchai, in June. 

To further accommodate the needs of Alfa Romeo owners in Hong Kong, a Multi-brands Service Centre located in Kwai Chung will kick start its operations in August.
