“…สำหรับใครหลายๆ คน สุสานอาจชวนให้รู้สึกเศร้า หรือหม่นหมอง ภาพของผู้เป็นที่รักที่ไร้ซึ่งลมหายใจต่างล้วนไร้ซึ่งความอภิรมย์ แต่สำหรับคุณเต้ ปฏิพัทธิ์ ชัยวิเทศ (patipat Chaiwitesh) กลับมองว่าความตาย สุสาน หรือหลุมศพ อาจไม่ใช่สิ่งที่เลวร้ายเสมอไป…”<\/p>\n

“เราอยากพูดถึงเรื่องความตาย เพราะหลุมศพพวกนี้มันไม่ได้ฝังศพคนๆ เดียว มันเป็นเหมือน Family hall พอใครตายก็จะต้องมาอยู่ตรงนี้ ลูกหลานก็จะมาเจอกันตรงนี้ เราอยากพูดถึงเรื่องของการเดินทางว่ามันเป็นเหมือนทั้งจุดเริ่มต้นและจุดจบในที่เดียวกัน ถึงแม้ว่าเราจะเรียกมันว่าสุสานก็ตามแต่” และด้วยมุมมองนี้ ทำให้ปฏิพัทธิ์เลือกที่จะจัดนิทรรศการเดี่ยว ‘Le Mémento’ ขึ้นเพื่อถ่ายทอดมุมมองความงามที่แฝงตัวอยู่ในความโศก<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n

หลายคนที่ไม่ได้อยู่ในแวดวงงานดีไซน์ ชื่อปฏิพัทธิ์ ชัยวิเทศ อาจไม่ได้เป็นที่คุ้นหูซักเท่าไหร่นัก แต่แท้จริงแล้วปฏิพัทธิ์คือศิลปินมือรางวัล (Grand Prize Winner 2012, Designer of the year award 2019, De Mark 2021) ผู้สร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะแนว Conceptual Art ผ่านกระบวนการทำงานที่เริ่มต้นจากการเก็บข้อมูลคล้ายงานวิจัย (Research–Based Art Practices) ที่นำมาสรรสร้างรูปทรงและปรับเปลี่ยนฟังก์ชั่นของวัสดุ เพื่อเปิดมุมมองและให้ความหมายใหม่ต่อวัตถุกับพื้นที่ว่าง ผลงานของปฏิพัทธิ์ถูกนำไปจัดแสดงทั้งในและต่างประเทศอยู่หลายต่อหลายครั้ง อาทิเช่น ‘Art Capital 2015’ ที่ Grand Palais กรุงปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ในปี 2015, นิทรรศการแสดงเดี่ยวครั้งแรก ‘Les Outils’ ณ Soy Sauce Factory กรุงเทพมหานครในปี 2016 ร่วมแสดง ‘Beyond Bliss’ Bangkok Art Biennale ปี 2018 รวมไปถึงร่วมเป็นหนึ่งในนิทรรศการกลุ่ม ‘Out of Place’ ณ KF Gallery, Korean Foundation กรุงโซล ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ในปี 2018 และอีกมากมาย นอกจากนี้ ปฏิพัทธิ์ยังคงดำรงอาจารย์หัวหน้าภาควิชาออกแบบ College of Design มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิตและเป็น Art Director ของ #Legend_th อีกด้วยเช่นกัน<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n

นิทรรศการเดี่ยว Le Mémento ในครั้งนี้ได้เริ่มต้นมาจากความประทับใจโดยส่วนตัวของศิลปินที่มีต่อสุสาน Père-Lachaise ที่ซึ่งเส้น สี รูปทรง และสถาปัตยกรรมของสุสานอันมีเอกลักษณ์และเป็นที่เลื่องชื่อประจำกรุงปารีสแห่งนี้ได้ถูกนำมาตีความเป็นแรงบันดาลใจในการดำเนินชีวิตให้แก่ผู้ที่ได้พบเห็น หลากหลายหลุมศพ ณ สุสานแห่งนี้เป็นหลุมฝังศพประจำตระกูล ที่ซึ่งใครในตระกูลดังกล่าวเสียชีวิตหรือจากไปก็มักจะถูกนำมาฝังไว้ในที่เดียวกัน ด้วยเหตุนี้ทำให้ทำให้เมื่อมองจากเลนส์ของปฏิพัทธิ์แล้ว พื้นที่ Père-Lachaise หาได้มีความหมายในฐานะของประตูสู่ชีวิตหลังความตายเพียงอย่างเดียว หากได้เป็นสถานที่ที่เปรียบเสมือน ‘บ้าน’ อีกหนึ่งหลังที่ผู้คนในครอบครัวได้กลับมาพบปะกันในท้ายที่สุด<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n

ในส่วนของเทคนิคและกรรมวิธีการรังสรรค์ ทางปฏิพัทธิ์ได้กลั่นกรองบันทึกความทรงจำแสนล้ำค่าทั้งหลายของสถานที่แห่งนี้ออกมาเป็นลวดลายร่วมสมัย ที่ปรากฏโฉมผ่านผืนพรมแขวนผนังหรือ Tapestry ที่รังสรรค์ขึ้นด้วยกรรมวิธีการทอด้วยมือทั้งหมด ซึ่งเทคนิคและวัสดุที่นำมาใช้นอกจากจะเป็นศาสตร์เฉพาะทางที่ตัวศิลปินมีความเชี่ยวชาญอย่างลึกซึ้ง ยังคงเป็นสื่อกลางที่บอกเล่าเรื่องราวการเดินทางแรกเริ่มของตัวศิลปินอีกด้วยเช่นกัน ตั้งแต่เมื่อครั้งยังศึกษาที่ École Supérieure des Beaux- Arts สาขาวิชา Textile and Tapestry ในประเทศฝรั่งเศส ก่อนที่ความสนใจในสิ่งทอนำพาเขามาสู่จุดเริ่มต้นการสรรสร้างผลงานศิลปะ ที่ต่อยอดสืบเนื่องมาสู่ผลงาน Conceptual Textiles ในเวทีระดับโลกมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้ <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n

ภายในนิทรรศการเดี่ยว Le Mémento นี้ นอกจากจะแผ่มนต์สะกดผ่านการจัดแสดงผลงานแบบ Installation Art ที่ถ่ายทอดความวิจิตรของเทคนิคการถักร้อยลวดลายสุสานบนงานศิลปะพรมทอมือแล้ว บันทึกรูปแบบภาพที่บอกเล่าถึงกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานและการเก็บข้อมูลตั้งแต่จุดเริ่มต้น ยังคงถูกจัดแสดงในพื้นที่ของนิทรรศการครั้งนี้ด้วยเช่นกัน ให้ผู้ที่มาร่วมรับชมได้รายล้อม สัมผัส และใกล้ชิด เสมือนเดินอยู่ในพื้นที่บันทึกแห่งความทรงจำของสุสาน Père-Lachaise อย่างแท้จริง<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n

นอกเหนือไปจากนี้ นิทรรศการ Le Mémento โดย ปฏิพัทธิ์ ชัยวิเทศ ยังได้รับเกียรติจากคุณ Thierry BAYLE (Cultural attaché) ผู้แทนจากสถานทูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทยมาร่วมเป็นประธารกล่าวเปิดงานอย่างสุดเอ๊กซ์คลูซีฟ พร้อมเปิดให้ผู้ที่สนใจได้เข้าร่วมรับชมระหว่างวันที่ 23 มิถุนายน – 28 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ.2567 ณ  ชั้น 1 ของจอยแมน แกลเลอรี (Joyman Gallery)<\/p>\n
