The Balcony Lounge at InterContinental Bangkok has introduced a new Afternoon Tea set, filled with the rich and unforgettable aroma of chocolate.<\/p>

This exquisite tea set is crafted by world-renowned pastry chef Lawrence Bobo, a Malaysian maestro widely regarded as one of the finest pastry chefs in the world. With a distinguished career working with numerous five-star hotels and receiving many awards from leading culinary institutions, it is no surprise that Chef Bobo\u2019s Afternoon Tea is a perfect blend of creativity, elegance and exceptional flavour.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The set features a variety of savoury and sweet treats. Among the savouries are chorizo sausage, onion and cottage cheese egg tart, Parma ham with brie cheese, and a tomato and zucchini tart. A particular highlight is the quail egg and caviar bread. The sweet and tender quail egg combined with the subtle saltiness of the caviar creates a wonderfully balanced bite that is truly addictive.<\/p>

On the sweet side, the star of the show is Chef Lawrence\u2019s meticulous approach to selecting ingredients and pairing flavours to ensure each treat offers a unique taste experience. The Chocolate Bonbons<\/strong> are a must-try. These signature bite-sized creations come in two flavours: salted milk caramel<\/strong> and earl grey coconut<\/strong>. The initial bittersweet chocolate notes are perfectly complemented by the rich fillings, with the salted caramel offering a delicate salty richness and the Earl Grey coconut presenting a gentle sweet softness.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

One of the highlights among the desserts is the Ruby Chocolate Champagne Cake<\/strong> served elegantly in a champagne glass. It features a refreshing lemon sponge resting on a zesty lemon crumble. The pink topping that resembles whipped cream is a silky ganache made by combining ruby chocolate with mascarpone cheese and soft cream. The finishing touch is a strawberry poached in champagne until tender and transformed into a sweet jam. Each mouthful delivers a complex symphony of textures and flavours that is both uplifting and indulgent.<\/p>

Accompanying this delightful Afternoon Tea is a selection of fragrant teas from TWG, perfect for cleansing the palate between bites. It is a truly comforting and refined way to spend a leisurely afternoon.<\/p>
