Through the performances of Jirawat \u201cDew\u201d Sutivanichsak and Juthapich \u201cJamie\u201d Indrajundra, this series gradually opens up space for us to examine the fragility of the heart, the process of moving on, and the hope of starting again. #legend_th: Could you both tell us about your roles in \u201cMuTeLuv: Love Lock\u201d?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dew:<\/strong> \u201cI play \u2018Phayu\u2019. He\u2019s a character who\u2019s stuck between the past and the present. After breaking up with May, he tries to start afresh, goes on dates, meets new people, but no matter how hard he tries, images of his ex keep haunting him. This prevents Phayu from moving forward. So he starts questioning himself: has he ever really closed that chapter of his life? His driving force is the belief that a prayer from the past might be the root cause of everything. So he decides to embark on a journey to unravel that knot, hoping that if the past is resolved, he\u2019ll have a real chance to start anew.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamie:<\/strong> \u201cI play May. She\u2019s a woman who loves truly and completely, and tries her best in the relationship. But one day she feels she\u2019s not receiving the appreciation she deserves. May chooses to walk away, even though she still loves him. She\u2019s a character who\u2019s strong in a quiet way. She doesn\u2019t leave because she doesn\u2019t love him, but because she knows that staying might hurt her more. It\u2019s something many women can relate to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#legend_th: What were the challenges of performing in this series?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dew: <\/strong>\u201cFor me, it was performing alone for a great deal. There are many scenes with no dialogue with anyone else. The challenge lies in keeping viewers engaged, feeling that the character is alive, has thoughts, and has real emotions, not just wandering about talking to himself. It\u2019s harder than having lots of dialogue because you have to carry the entire energy of the scene yourself. But it\u2019s been an experience I\u2019ve learnt tremendously from.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamie: <\/strong>\u201cFor me, the challenge was playing two versions, both the real May and May as Phayu\u2019s hallucination. The hallucination part is quite free, fun to play, with more playfulness allowed. But the real May is more serious and deeper. Beyond that, May\u2019s experiences share many similarities with my own real-life experiences, which made some scenes quite affecting. Sometimes I had to pull myself back a bit, so my emotions wouldn\u2019t carry me too far.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#legend_th: Was there anyone or any particular moment working together that you found especially memorable?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jamie:<\/strong> \u201cNormally I\u2019m used to seeing Dew in upper-class roles or as warm, gentle men. But in this series, Phayu is quite a laddish, ordinary bloke, which is an angle I\u2019d never seen before. And I thought, \u2018Oh, Dew has this side to him as well.\u2019 The scene I found most affecting was when May tells Phayu that it\u2019s over, near the beginning of the series. It\u2019s a scene where the emotion felt very clear and genuinely touching.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dew:<\/strong> \u201cIn terms of memorable scenes, for me it would be the period when Phayu and May are still together. Those scenes are bright, natural, and great fun. To be honest, I\u2019ve never had a girlfriend, but if I imagine having one and being a character like Phayu during that period, I think it would be quite enjoyable, teasing, joking, playing with the other person. Those scenes are ones I felt really engaged with and particularly enjoyed. And it\u2019s not just the fun aspect either, because sometimes we\u2019d film light-hearted scenes first, then move on to emotionally heavy ones. The feelings from the previous scene would still linger, which allowed the emotions in the dramatic scenes to flow out naturally. I feel that was also part of what made it memorable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#legend_th: Were there any scenes in the series that felt close to your own real-life romantic experiences?<\/strong><\/strong>
<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dew: <\/strong>\u201cMine don\u2019t match my own life, but they really match my mates\u2019! I\u2019d say nearly every scene. Several people have asked, \u2018Hang on, are you actually like this?\u2019 But I\u2019m being straight when I say I haven\u2019t had romantic experiences like this. I just have friends whose characters are about 95% like Phayu. The other 5% might be certain situations that don\u2019t match exactly, but overall I drew from real mates.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamie:<\/strong> \u201cFor me, many scenes ring true. Especially the scene where May seems to reach a point of exhaustion and decides, \u2018This is my limit.\u2019 We\u2019ve tried as hard as we can with this love, and we can\u2019t go on further. What I felt was similar to May is being someone who gives their all to love, trying until you feel, \u2018Right, I\u2019ve done everything I can,\u2019 and only then accepting that some things might not be meant for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In the series, May and Phayu dated for three years, but my own real-life experience was longer than that, which made many emotions still quite raw, because it happened not long before I started filming this. And I wanted May to represent many women who try, endure, and give their hearts completely to love. I want everyone to watch and feel alongside her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
