Hublot’s latest design collaboration with renowned American artist Daniel Arsham channels the fluidity of water and pure transparency into the MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire, the first wristwatch Arsham has created for the brand. Presented in a 42 mm case, the timepiece features a dial shaped like a free-flowing water splash, an evolution of the droplet-inspired aesthetic first seen in the MP-16. Modern materials including titanium, sapphire and rubber reinterpret these organic lines while reflecting Arsham’s signature concept of “fictional archaeology”, in which contemporary objects are reimagined as ancient artefacts. The watch is presented in a 37.3 mm stainless-steel case with a fourteen-sided bezel and Zenith’s signature ladder bracelet. Its dial appears in four of USM’s emblematic colours: Green, Pure Orange, Golden Yellow and Gentian Blue. The design is enhanced by three overlapping chronograph counters that add architectural depth, along with a playful detail in the form of a chronograph seconds hand tipped with a miniature USM Haller ball joint. Each colour is limited to just 60 pieces. Inside, the watch is powered by the El Primero 400 high-frequency 5Hz movement, a celebrated pillar of Zenith precision. It is visible through a sapphire caseback adorned with the Maison’s signature star-shaped rotor.
