“…Once again, Hermès unveils the poetic essence of its watchmaking savoir-faire through the release of Slim d’Hermès Faubourg of Dreams, a rare, limited-edition timepiece that captures an ethereal universe in motion. Through the refined artistry of miniature painting and intricate engraving, this exceptional creation transforms the dial into a weightless cosmos, suspended in time. A testament to Hermès’ unparalleled craftsmanship, the piece blends artistic imagination, fine techniques, and innovative mechanics into one harmonious whole…”

The inspiration behind this extraordinary model stems from the silk scarf motif “Faubourg of Dreams”, a design that once graced Hermès’ storied archives and has now been reinterpreted in horological form. The dial of the Slim d’Hermès, originally conceived by Philippe Delhotal in 2015, adheres to a minimalist yet elegant design ethos. It features imaginative elements, from handbags and horseshoes to headphones and mobile phones, all meticulously hand-painted and engraved with exquisite precision.

Behind the aesthetic allure lies an interplay of exquisite materials. The dial is enriched with aventurine glass inlaid with golden flecks that shimmer like distant stars, overlaid with a sapphire crystal ring that gives depth and dimension to this imagined sky. Together, they conjure the illusion of levitation, a delicate visual metaphor for traversing time and boundless imagination.

From a technical standpoint, the timepiece is powered by the ultra-slim Hermès H1950 self-winding movement, developed in Switzerland. The movement measures only 2.6 mm thick and offers a 48-hour power reserve. Housed in a 39.5 mm white gold case, it features both a front and caseback sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and is water-resistant to 30 metres. The watch is paired with an elegant alligator leather strap, available in graphite grey or the deep, moody Bleu Abysse, a signature nod to the maison’s renowned leather expertise.

What truly sets the Slim d’Hermès Faubourg of Dreams apart is its exclusivity. Produced in a strictly limited series of only 24 pieces worldwide, this is more than a watch, it is a wearable work of art. As Hermès eloquently expresses, time is not merely something to measure or control, but a medium for creativity and emotional resonance. Through this horological creation, Hermès invites wearers to experience time not just as a function, but as an unfolding canvas of imagination and refined living.
