The Onitsuka Innovative Factory is Onitsuka Tiger’s first specialised manufacturing facility. Onitsuka Tiger, a Japanese fashion brand that blends style, sport, and cutting-edge innovation, established the factory in Tottori Prefecture, Japan—home to the brand’s founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka.
This state-of-the-art facility is designed to integrate every stage of the creative process, from material development and design to production. Looking ahead, the factory aims to become a cultural hub, sharing Onitsuka Tiger’s vision and the beauty of traditional Japanese craftsmanship with a global audience.

The factory also collaborates closely with the Milan Design Centre, Onitsuka Tiger’s international creative headquarters, and The ASICS Institute of Sport Science, a research centre dedicated to pioneering advanced sports technology.
The Onitsuka Innovative Factory enhances the production capacity of high-quality footwear, including the internationally recognised NIPPON MADE series, which stands as a symbol of Onitsuka Tiger’s fine craftsmanship. It also produces the official leather footwear line, THE ONITSUKA, and marks the brand’s first step into leather bag production under the Onitsuka Tiger name, expanding its creative horizons.

In addition to manufacturing, the area adjacent to the factory houses a gallery showcasing rare, important works and exhibits that highlight the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship. This gallery serves as Onitsuka Tiger’s first store in Tottori Prefecture, offering the NIPPON MADE collection—curated and produced at the Onitsuka Innovative Factory—and custom-made items tailored to customers’ specific needs.
The new Onitsuka Tiger factory was established in collaboration with Tottori Prefecture, with the goal of revitalising the local region through job creation, skills development, and fostering business partnerships. The factory will serve as a global centre for sharing the cultural values of the brand, with a commitment to sustainable growth alongside the local community.
