“…Thailand’s hospitality scene is abuzz as Narai Hospitality Group joins forces with Hyatt Hotels Corporation to breathe new life into the iconic Narai Hotel. Set to reopen in early 2028 as the first property in Thailand under The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, the hotel’s revival signals a fresh chapter for Bangkok’s Silom district, blending business, culture, and design in the heart of the city…”

Originally launched in 1968 with 500 rooms, Narai Hotel quickly became a landmark for both locals and international travellers. Renowned for pioneering Thailand’s first revolving restaurant, introducing Western-style pizzerias, and popularising international buffets, the hotel has been the backdrop for countless family celebrations, weddings, and special occasions over the decades, embedding itself as an enduring symbol of Silom’s golden era.

Nearly six decades later, Narai Hotel is ready to impress once more with its new vision: “A vibrant canvas for urban creativity.” The 245-room property will anchor the Hatai development in Silom, featuring designs by world-renowned studios including Heatherwick Studio, P49, and A Work of Substance, in collaboration with Bangkok-based design partners to create a contemporary experience that honours the area’s storied past.

Joining The Unbound Collection by Hyatt aligns perfectly with Narai Hotel’s heritage, as the brand celebrates properties with distinctive stories and deep community ties. Narai Hospitality Group CEO, Mr. Natee Nithivasin, stated, “Narai Hotel has found its true home. The Unbound Collection by Hyatt respects the individuality of each hotel, perfectly matching our vision to write a new chapter in its history.” David Udell, Chairman of Hyatt Asia Pacific, added, “We are proud to partner with Narai Hospitality Group to revive this legendary hotel into a memorable, heartfelt hospitality experience.”

The reimagined Narai Hotel will offer a full suite of amenities, including an all-day dining venue on the 7th floor, a rooftop restaurant with sweeping city skyline views, a luxury lounge, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and a modern swimming pool catering to urban lifestyles. The hotel will also provide versatile event spaces, including a grand ballroom, and enjoys excellent connectivity near BTS Chong Nonsi, the business district, embassies, and the Chao Phraya River.

The return of Narai Hotel is more than a revival of a beloved landmark; it signals the revitalisation of Silom itself, celebrating its historical, cultural, and economic significance, while reaffirming Thailand’s prominent place within Hyatt’s global network.
