Minor Hotels has announced the global debut of The Wolseley Hotels, with its first property scheduled to open in New York City in early 2027.
Situated just steps from Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan, The Wolseley Hotel New York will serve as the brand’s inaugural location and flagship destination. The opening will also mark the U.S. debut of The Wolseley restaurant and bar, bringing one of London’s most iconic dining institutions to an international audience.
The hotel will be housed in the historic building at 130 West 44th Street, originally built in 1905 as the clubhouse for The Lambs Club and designed by the renowned architectural firm McKim, Mead & White. Deeply connected to Broadway’s creative scene and New York’s cultural elite, the site continues to stand as a symbol of the city’s rich theatrical and artistic legacy.
Combining British elegance with New York’s vibrant culture and architectural heritage, the property is set to introduce a new standard of refined hospitality in one of the world’s most dynamic urban destinations.

The Wolseley Hotel New York will offer 76 spacious guest rooms and suites, each designed to balance timeless elegance with a sense of modern simplicity. The interiors will blend refined detailing, carefully planned layouts, and bespoke craftsmanship, reflecting the brand’s signature style while delivering a seamless, contemporary luxury experience.
At the core of the hotel will be The Wolseley New York — the brand’s first U.S. outpost and its North American culinary flagship. As the hotel’s social hub, the restaurant will reinterpret the grand café tradition and polished European spirit of its Piccadilly counterpart, featuring all-day dining, signature cocktails, and an atmosphere that is both lively and sophisticated.
As the debut property for The Wolseley Hotels brand, The Wolseley Hotel New York marks Minor Hotels’ entry into the U.S. luxury hospitality market. This flagship opening lays the groundwork for a considered and selective global expansion, with future locations planned in some of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. Each property will be thoughtfully curated to reflect the brand’s distinct identity, where exceptional cuisine, refined design, and attentive service come together.
