Choosing the right face for the March issue, the edition that heralds the arrival of Spring/Summer 2026, is no small consideration. After thoughtful deliberation between the #legend teams in Thailand and Hong Kong, a unanimous decision was reached: at this moment, few figures command as much cultural influence as the rising actress Sarocha “Freen” Chankimha. She embodies an elegant, captivating allure through a curated selection of clothing and accessories from Maje. This collaboration marks her third time working with #legend_th. On this occasion, we invited her to respond to three light-hearted questions spanning different facets of her life, offering a closer glimpse of the woman behind the beautiful smile and enchanting eyes.

#legend_th: If you were to pick three moments from last year, the most enjoyable, the most pressurising, and the most memorable. What would they be?

Freen: “The most enjoyable would have to be all the travelling, honestly. I used to not particularly enjoy flying, but the more I did it, the more I found myself actually having fun, seeing things I’d never seen, going to places I’d never been. Being on a plane stopped feeling so daunting. The most pressurising thing was starting my own company, SOLENN Entertainment. It was quite a lot, really, because it was the first time I had to manage absolutely everything myself. But I’m hopeful we’ll come through it well. And the most memorable moment, without question, was the Met Gala. It completely exceeded anything I could have imagined. I never thought I’d actually be there, in that room, surrounded by icons from all over the world. It felt so exclusive and so extraordinary, I think that memory will stay with me for a very long time.”

#legend_th: You have three new projects coming up this year. Could you give us a little update on each?

Freen: “There’s 4 Elements, which is currently airing, but the one I’d especially love for everyone to look forward to is The Air. I’m one of the leads, and my character is a lieutenant. If anyone’s been curious to see a side of me they haven’t seen before, I think this will deliver. Then there’s The Stain, I’d really love for everyone to go and see it in cinemas, my little ‘Namsai’ is still waiting. And then there’s the series ‘The Witch of Siam,’ where I play a young witch named ‘Irene’ alongside Nine Naphat. It’s quite a challenge because I have to speak French, and it’s a fantasy world that requires a great deal of imagination. Reading the script, I genuinely think it’s going to be brilliant. Every role is different, from the cool, cheeky type, to a psychologist, to a witch in a fantasy world. It keeps me on my toes, and I feel like I’m genuinely growing as an actress.”

#legend_th: You’ve been working on your new house, could you share three things about that project?

Freen: “It barely resembles its former self at this point, I’ve essentially renovated the whole thing. One of my concerns was Fluffy, my dog. The original staircase had gaps between the steps, so I had a curved staircase designed instead. It took quite a few revisions to get the curve just right, but we got there. Then there’s the garden. I wanted it to be lovely and full of flowers, for my mother, for myself, and so that Fluffy has somewhere to run about. I’ve been working on the house for over a year now and still haven’t moved in, but I do hope this is the year it finally happens. I just want it to be warm and beautiful for everyone.”

#legend_th: When it comes to Spring/Summer 2026 fashion, what three items are simply non-negotiable for you?

Freen: “I’m very into large head scarves at the moment. You can wear them casually in the summer breeze, or tie them as a bandeau top at the beach for something a bit more sultry, quite versatile. Then sunglasses, at the very least, we ought to be protecting our eyes in this heat. And finally, a lovely little bag that lifts the whole look and adds a bit of brightness. For the colours, I think blue, pink, and yellow really make an outfit pop. Everything just feels that bit more alive.”

#legend_th: Three things you’d like to work on or improve this year?

Freen: “I have a tendency to care rather too much about others, and at times I overanalyse whether I may have done something wrong. I’d like to soften that habit a little. Then there’s the matter of rest. Some days I feel I ought to be doing something productive, when in truth it is perfectly acceptable simply to take a day off. I’d also like to return to exercising more consistently. Last year was so full of work and travel that whenever I had a spare moment, all I wanted to do was sleep. This year, I hope to find a healthier sense of balance.”

#legend_th: And finally, three big goals you’d love to achieve this year?

Freen: “First and foremost, I want to actually move into my new house. I’ve lived in condominiums my whole life. This year, I really want a proper home of my own, completely finished. Secondly, I’d love to find a small dog to keep Fluffy company. And the last one is, I want to push SOLENN Entertainment further, to do more, to genuinely enjoy it, and to find real happiness in the work.”

Three collaborations in, and Sarocha “Freen” Chankimha continues to surprise. Each time we work with her, there’s a freshness to her energy that never quite dissipates. Her warmth, her dedication, and a charm that doesn’t try to announce itself, but simply finds its way in, quietly and naturally.
