“…Chaumet is set to unveil an exceptional exhibition entitled “Chaumet: An Ode to Living Nature” at the French Pavilion during World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, Japan. This presentation highlights the Maison’s identity as a Naturalist Jeweller, celebrating over 245 years of artistry inspired by the splendour of nature and refined craftsmanship…”

Under the theme “A Tribute to Love in All Its Forms,” the exhibition takes visitors on a poetic journey that blends heritage and modernity. Central to the showcase are three enduring emblems of Chaumet, the windswept ears of wheat, the pansy, and delicate wings, together with a reinterpretation of Napoleon’s imperial bee, which later inspired the Bee de Chaumet collection.

The exhibition further underscores the enduring ties between Chaumet and Japan, dating back to the 18th century when the Maison’s founder, Marie-Étienne Nitot, was associated with Marie Antoinette’s collection of Japanese lacquerware and Chinese porcelain. The influence of Japonisme during the Romantic and Belle Époque periods continued to shape Chaumet’s creations, culminating in the opening of its first Japanese boutique in 1974. Today, Chaumet boasts more than 12 boutiques across the country.

Among the highlights on display are historical and contemporary masterpieces, including Napoleonic-era tiaras, the 1977 Ginkgo necklace, and the 2018 Chant du Printemps collection inspired by Japanese minka houses and cherry blossoms. Adding to this cultural dialogue, Chaumet will also present The Art of Colour, a project developed with contemporary Japanese artists exploring colour and light in innovative ways.

By taking part in World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, Chaumet marks a significant milestone that reflects its deep connection with Japan while reaffirming its position as a leading high jewellery Maison. The exhibition celebrates nature as the spiritual and cultural essence of Japan, interpreted through Chaumet’s distinctive lens.

“Chaumet: An Ode to Living Nature” will be open daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm at the French Pavilion, Empowering Zone (East Entrance), during World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.
