“…In a world where connectivity sits at the very heart of modern travel, Aircalin has clearly demonstrated its strategic vision over the past year through the successful launch of its Nouméa–Bangkok–Paris route. More than a seamless transcontinental connection, the route has elevated Bangkok to a pivotal gateway linking Europe with the South Pacific in a tangible and meaningful way…”
After one year of operation, the route has welcomed over 60,000 passengers, achieving an average load factor of above 80%, and rising to nearly 90% during peak travel periods. Such figures reflect strong confidence and robust demand from global travellers, prompting Aircalin to increase its service frequency to three flights per week in response to steadily growing demand.

Since its inaugural launch in December 2024, the Nouméa–Bangkok–Paris route has become one of the cornerstones of Aircalin’s international network. Bangkok plays a crucial role as a strategic hub, supporting tourism, business travel, and broader economic activity across the South Pacific region.

Commenting on this milestone, Georges Selefen, Chief Executive Officer of Aircalin, noted that the route not only opens new gateways between ASEAN and Europe, but also reinforces Bangkok’s status as a proud aviation hub bridging the Western world and the Pacific. The route has also contributed to the airline’s financial balance while creating more than 30 direct jobs over the past year.

Aircalin operates the route using the Airbus A330-900neo, a next-generation aircraft recognised for its efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, and lower carbon emissions, fully aligned with the airline’s long-haul sustainability vision. Regional connectivity across the South Pacific is further strengthened by the deployment of the Airbus A320neo, ensuring seamless and agile connections throughout the network. Beyond linking Europe and Asia, Aircalin also opens the door to some of the South Pacific’s most desirable destinations, including Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Vanuatu, and the French Pacific islands. Passengers can also enjoy mileage accrual through the Flying Blue programme, with rewards redeemable across a global network of partner airlines.

What truly defines Aircalin is its distinctive ability to blend the spirit of New Caledonia, France’s overseas territory, with refined European service standards. This identity is expressed throughout the onboard experience, from cabin design, colour palettes and aircraft motifs to thoughtfully curated French cuisine and fine wines. Across its three cabin classes, Business Hibiscus Class with fully flat beds, Premium Economy Class offering enhanced comfort at accessible value, and a newly designed Economy Class that prioritises space and ease, Aircalin demonstrates a clear commitment to catering to every style of traveller. To mark its first anniversary, Aircalin continues to strengthen its presence in the Thai market through strategic route development, increased flight frequencies, close collaboration with travel industry partners, and exclusive promotional offers for passengers travelling from Thailand.

The past year stands as clear proof that the Nouméa–Bangkok–Paris route is far more than a new flight path, it is a meaningful bridge connecting three regions of the world. Looking ahead, Bangkok is set to further cement its position as a global travel hub, increasingly recognised on the international aviation map.
