In its latest high jewellery collection, Jewels by Nature, Chaumet distils the wonder of the natural world into 54 exquisite creations, each a masterpiece of artistry, craftsmanship, and storytelling. From wild blooms and fluttering wings to glistening leaves and the hum of bees, the Maison transforms nature’s treasures into wearable poetry, rendered in diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and pearls.Three chapters-Everlasting, Ephemeral and Reviving-guide us through this jewelled landscape, where nature’s eternal cycle, fleeting beauty and triumphant rebirth are captured with the same reverence Chaumet has nurtured for 245 years.

Everlasting

Jewels by Nature จาก Chaumet

The opening chapter celebrates plant species whose beauty endures across the seasons, including the wild rose, clover, fern, and the Field Star, which blooms among ripening oats. The Wild Rose parure blossoms from the archives, inspired by a 1922 tiara by Joseph Chaumet. Its golden stamens are imagined in fancy vivid yellow diamonds, the star being an 8.23-carat stone radiating from the heart of a transformable necklace. Three looks, one ingenious clasp and 1,500 hours of meticulous work later, the piece stands as a triumph of design. A matching transformable ring and earrings, each ablaze with yellow diamonds, complete this modern floral heirloom.

In Oat and Field Star, golden oat ears sway alongside white gold blossoms set with diamonds and cushion-cut fancy yellow diamonds totalling 8.32 carats. Asymmetrical earrings, adaptable to the wearer’s mood, echo the movement of a summer field. This vision was brought to life over 1,300 hours at 12 Vendôme.

Clover and Fern is an elegant pas de deux between two botanical icons, its roots in an 1853 brooch by Jules Fossin. A fern garden unfurls in layered white gold, dotted with blooming four-leaf clovers adorned with untreated Colombian emeralds totalling 11.63 carats. Diamonds, in cut-down, bezel and illusion settings, catch the light like morning dew.

Ephemeral

The second chapter honours blooms whose lives are fleeting yet unforgettable, including the sword-lily, carnation, and sweetshrub. The Carnation is reimagined in Chaumet’s signature blue, a shade unknown in nature yet utterly beguiling. Six frilled blossoms fade from pale sky to deep midnight, in a gradient of sapphires set along a bold V-shaped necklace whose silhouette recalls the Maison’s aigrette motif. A 36.44-carat Ceylon sapphire, detachable for wear as a pendant, anchors the piece.

The Sword-Lily unfurls in 14.03 carats of Mozambique rubies entwined with diamond vines that seem to hover against the skin. The secret watch in this parure hides beneath ruby-hearted petals, its grand feu enamel dial by Anita Porchet glowing in translucent crimson over hand-guilloché.

The Sweetshrub continues Chaumet’s historic love affair with pearls, here in 10mm pink freshwater perfection. At its centre, a 44.23-carat pink-violet spinel blossoms, detachable as a brooch. Delicate openworked butterflies, their wings like jewelled lace, complete the scene.

Reviving

The final chapter celebrates the beloved blooms of Empress Joséphine, including magnolia, iris, dahlia and water lily, as well as the creatures drawn to them.

Magnolia Grandiflora is imagined entirely in diamonds, from an 8-carat leaf brooch to a necklace crowned by a 5.26-carat D FL type lla pear-shaped drop.

A blue tit brooch, its plumage meticulously studied, glides mid-flight with a hidden one-carat diamond tucked into its feathers.

In iris, golden petals transform into diamond-set spinels in pastel hues totalling 24.36 carats, paired with a 6.10-carat purple spinel ring and dragonfly brooches shimmering in sapphires and diamonds.

The Dahlia parure radiates volume and movement in a transformable tiara with five removable blooms, while its necklace demanded 1,300 hours of creation.

Water Lily glistens with openworked petals surrounding a 4.51-carat pink spinel, a 6.12-carat violet spinel and a 23.11-carat imperial topaz, which can also be worn as a pendant. Matching rings and earrings capture the flower’s ascent from water to sunlight.

Finally, the Bee-nature’s indispensable artisan-appears in seven brooches. Honeycomb patterns extend right down to the claws, as if each bee had gathered nectar from the very jewels themselves to weave beauty that will endure forever.
