In the world of travel, where speed and luxury have become the new definition of airborne experience, MJETS has stood at the forefront of Thailand’s private aviation industry for nearly two decades.
From humble beginnings with only a few charter aircraft, the company has grown into a leading force encompassing a wide range of operations. From Charter and Ground Handling services to Aircraft Maintenance (MRO) and even its own Private Jet Terminal at Don Mueang Airport. Its expansion has also reached regional markets, including India, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Singapore.
Today, Hashtag Legend Thailand sits down with Mr. Chayanin ‘Max’ Sukkhasantikul, the Chief Commercial Officer of MJETS, one of the driving forces behind the company’s steady growth. With sharp vision and the genuine spirit of a true hospitality professional, he offers a big-picture perspective on the regional aviation industry and the journey that has defined success.
As the year draws to a close, Don Mueang Airport is once again buzzing with activity, and MJETS too is entering its peak travel season. Smiling, Mr. Chayanin tells us, “We are always ready for the high season,” before taking us through the company’s remarkable journey, from its modest beginnings with only a few aircraft to becoming one of the most distinguished names in the private aviation industry across the region.

What inspired you to pursue a career in the private jet industry with MJETS?
“I originally came from an aviation background, having worked with Etihad Airways. I’ve always had a deep passion for this industry, and I saw tremendous potential in the private jet sector, especially here in Thailand. When MJETS was founded 17 years ago, the term ‘private jet’ was almost unheard of in this part of the world. Since then, the business has grown significantly, and more people have gained access to private jet travel. What has kept MJETS strong and stable throughout this time, however, is our infrastructure, the solid foundation we’ve built to support private jet operations both domestically and internationally. From FBO services to Ground Handling and Trip Support, and MJETS provides it all.”
How has the private jet business evolved over the years?
“The regional aviation industry has been growing significantly, making air travel more accessible to a wider audience. We serve as an authorised dealer, maintenance centre, and warranty facility for both Gulfstream and Textron. All of this reflects the trust that manufacturers and clients alike place in MJETS as the leading private jet operator in Southeast Asia.”
Is the private jet market highly competitive?
“In terms of charter services, we’re not the only provider in Thailand, and there are many operators around the world bringing travellers and business executives here. However, what sets us apart is our Aircraft Management service, which takes care of everything for aircraft owners, from backend operations and maintenance to all aspects of logistics. We offer a fully integrated ecosystem encompassing Trip Support, FBO, Ground Handling, MRO, and authorised dealership services. We truly operate as a one-stop service in every sense.”

Many people associate private jets with luxury. From your perspective, what do they truly represent?
For those who travel by private jet, what they are really buying is time. Time is the most valuable thing of all. They can choose when to fly, when to depart or land, and who to travel with, whether it’s friends, family, or business partners. Therefore, It goes beyond luxury, as the terms of luxury are already a given, it’s a baseline expectation for our clients. What truly defines private jet travel is the sense of freedom and control over time that it provides.
When you travel as a passenger yourself, does it feel special?
“Clients often expect exceptional service, privacy, and comfort, all of which MJETS delivers through our FBO facilities. Our clients can board their aircraft within just five minutes of arrival, as what they truly value is ‘time’ and ‘privacy’. In addition, we provide tailored catering and personalised services to ensure a bespoke experience that is seamless and meets the highest standards.”
What sets MJETS apart from other service providers in the market?
“We are a one-stop service solution with a fully integrated ecosystem, taking care of our clients in every dimension, from Aircraft Management, Dispatch, and Trip Support to ground operations. Everything is managed in-house, both in Thailand and across international locations such as Singapore, India, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Clients place their trust in the MJETS brand because they recognise the completeness of our services, our commitment to privacy, and our unwavering punctuality.”
Where do you see MJETS in the next five years?
“We have plans to expand our business across Southeast Asia, which remains our key market. We have already extended our presence to India, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Singapore, and within the next two to three years, we aim to establish service centres in every major city. Should the right opportunities arise, we are also ready to expand beyond the region. In terms of aircraft management, our goal is to double the number of aircraft within the next 18 months and introduce new models to our charter fleet, allowing us to serve our clients with even greater coverage and flexibility.”
From a passenger’s perspective, what kind of experience does travelling with MJETS offer?
“At the heart of our business is the private jet experience, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity. Yet, what truly sets us apart goes beyond technology, it’s the service we provide, from personalised dining arrangements to the warm hospitality extended throughout the journey. Ultimately, what matters most in any journey is the ‘company you travel with’. We believe that the time spent on board is a meaningful opportunity to share moments together, and our mission is to make those moments as perfect as possible.”

Does MJETS focus on serving any particular group of clients?
“We’re delighted to serve clients from all walks of life. Our passengers range from families and celebrities to government leaders, and even pets as MJETS is a pet-friendly airline. In fact, just in the next few days, we’ll be flying a client and their dog to Europe. It’s a great example of how we truly tailor our services to meet every client’s individual needs.”
As an executive, how do you ensure that “safety” and “exceptional experience” go hand in hand?
“We operate with an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality. We have achieved IS-BAO and IS-BAH Stage 3 certifications, the highest level of recognition within the business aviation industry. In addition, we are also ISO 9001 certified, and we take great pride in maintaining the most rigorous benchmarks across every aspect of our operations.”
With more than 200 employees in the organisation, how do you ensure everything runs smoothly?
“We have a team of over 200 employees, which we consider an ideal size that allows us to operate at the highest standards. Every member of our team is thoroughly trained, yet we maintain a family-like culture where everyone knows each other by name and communicates openly and warmly. This atmosphere is incredibly important, as it ensures smooth internal communication and allows everyone to work with genuine happiness.”
When looking for new members to join the team, what do you value the most?
“Beyond ability, what we look for in our team is a ‘Can-Do Attitude’. In the world of private aviation, clients expect that there is no such thing as ‘can’t be done’ for them. Many times, our clients have special requests, and we never say no. We always try to find a solution and fulfil their needs, whether it’s arranging a special meal, accommodating pets of rare breeds, or providing additional services such as personal bodyguards, ground transportation at the destination, and even securing tickets to exclusive concerts. We do everything possible to ensure our clients enjoy the best experience imaginable.”

Do you consider yourself successful today?
“I believe MJETS is still on its journey of continuous growth. Over the past 17 years, we’ve never stopped developing, always moving forward. We’ve been awarded the highest level of safety certification, IS-BAO Stage 3, for both our operations and ground services, which represents the pinnacle of business aviation standards. Moreover, MJETS has been voted the Best FBO in Asia for ten consecutive years by AIN. Looking ahead, our goal is to elevate both our safety and service standards even further, while expanding our fleet and entering international markets, allowing more people to experience the true essence of MJETS.”
How do you define your ultimate goal of success?
“For me, success isn’t a destination, but a journey of constant growth. Today, MJETS is already a key player in Southeast Asia, but our next ambition is to reach the global stage. And if one day we truly achieve that, I believe it would be one of the greatest sources of pride for everyone in our company.”
How do you balance work and personal life?
“I’m genuinely passionate about what I do, so I find joy in my work. That’s why my working hours and personal time often blend seamlessly together. If I could work 24 hours a day, I probably would, without feeling tired at all.”
What’s the first thing you do when you get home?
“I spend most of my time with my children. My daughter is three and a half, and my son is four and a half, it’s a stage where they’re learning about everything, and I truly cherish being there with them through every moment of it.”

How would you describe your personal style?
“In my line of work, wearing suits and ties is part of the routine. I have quite a large collection, people often joke that I probably own every colour and shade imaginable. You never know what kind of opportunity might come up, so I always like to be prepared. But during my downtime, I’m completely different. I prefer to dress casually, just a T-shirt and shorts, that’s me in my most relaxed and simple form.”
Lastly, what advice would you give to someone who wants to start a career in aviation?
“For those who wish to begin their journey in the aviation industry, I’d recommend exploring the field of General Aviation or Business Aviation, such as private jets. This is an industry where you can truly learn about every aspect of aviation. Many people who join us often say that MJETS feels like a learning institution, because they get to see both the big picture and the behind-the-scenes workings of the business, unlike in commercial airlines, where each person usually focuses on just one part of a much larger system.
In the world of General Aviation, you get to see how the entire system truly operates, especially here at MJETS, where we have a ‘fully integrated ecosystem’ covering everything from maintenance centres and ground operations to customer service, fleet management, and full-scale support. You get hands-on experience from every angle, and it’s this kind of exposure that truly elevates your understanding of the aviation industry.”
For him, success is not measured by the number of aircraft in the fleet, nor by the growing count of passengers each year, but by the moment he sees every passenger step off the plane with a smile, the kind of smile that says, “This is what a truly perfect journey feels like.”
