At Watches and Wonders 2023 in Geneva, Roger Dubuis unveiled a watch that it promised can “defy the complex realm of physics”

Gravity can affect the precise performance required of a watch. But instead of fighting it, Roger Dubuis wants to harness the effects of the force to benefit the timepiece.

Most traditional tourbillons make up for the negative effect of gravity on one specific axis, but Roger Dubuis has extended that ability across every surface of its Conical Monovortex Tourbillon. It has a 360° trajectory to maintain its precision of the new Monovortex Split-Seconds Chronograph.

The Turborotor Cylindrical Oscillating Weight is also added to keep the winding of the watch efficient. It does so by embracing gravity, pushing down like a spinning barrel, so it now better suits all the natural motions of a wearer’s wrist.

Powered by the RD114 Calibre, the Monovortex Split-Seconds Chronograph also features Roger Dubuis’ Split-Seconds Chronograph complication.
