“...SIRIVANNAVARI has unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2024-2025 collection, a vision masterfully designed by H.R.H. Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya. Under the theme ‘Women in Art,’ the collection dazzled audiences with over 50 meticulously curated looks for both men and women, showcased in a captivating fashion show held at the National Gallery, under the Ministry of Culture...”
Central to the creative inspiration for this collection is the celebrated artist Pablo Picasso and the essence of Cubism. This connection unfolds beautifully in the choice of venue, which was transformed into an art gallery featuring Cubist-style paintings by the Princess herself. Immersed in this artistic atmosphere, the SIRIVANNAVARI collection reimagines Cubism’s geometric forms into refined designs that celebrate the feminine silhouette. The pieces presented a fascinating fusion of draping, ruffled details, structured shoulders, and the brand’s signature IRIS Jacket, characterised by precise tailoring and modern panel cuts. The collection is bathed in winter-appropriate hues of serene beige and grey, enriched with deep burgundy accents that lend an air of allure.
Not only does the collection’s sharp tailoring and dramatic forms captivate the senses, but it also boasts meticulous hand-embroidery, a hallmark of the brand. Showcasing exquisite 3D Thai floral motifs crafted from fine threads, beads, and crystals, these embellishments are as much a labour of love as a testament to high artistry. Completing the look are exquisite golden accessories, reflecting the distinctive Cubist inspiration as well as the delicate beauty of Thai floral forms, alongside classic bags in two designs that perfectly round off this season’s ensembles.
In her vision for this collection, H.R.H. Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya shared, “The creation of garments that contour gracefully to the wearer’s form, as seen in the ‘Women in Art’ collection, has revealed the intrinsic value of draping, not only in its technicality and aesthetic appeal but also in its utility and luxury. It brings an element of drama, suited for runway fashion yet versatile enough for daily wear. This collection embodies the duality of working women, yet effortlessly enchanting.”
This collection is a testament to H.R.H. Princess Sirivannavari’s creative prowess, a harmonious blend of rich cultural heritage with a modern perspective. It is a celebration of alluring elegance, underpinned by fine craftsmanship, that marks yet another milestone in the Princess’s ongoing artistic journey.
