Chef Akira Back, a former professional snowboarder and executive chef at the Nobu Matsuhisa restaurant in Aspen, Colorado, has earned international acclaim for his innovative and refined culinary creations, rooted in his personal heritage and the high-quality ingredients he carefully selects. This time, he invites guests to experience a one-of-a-kind Asian dining experience at this unique restaurant.
Upon entering Akira Back Restaurant and Bar, guests are welcomed by a sophisticated interior featuring a striking black colour scheme. The space includes the main dining area, a sushi bar, and four private dining rooms, all evoking the atmosphere of Akira Back’s renowned Michelin-starred restaurants in Seoul, South Korea. Beyond the beautiful décor, the restaurant also offers stunning panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline.
Every dish on the menu is thoughtfully crafted, inspired by the blending of Western culture with familiar Asian flavours, resulting in intriguing and perfectly balanced creations that promise a distinctive and unforgettable taste. Highlights include signature dishes such as fresh tuna pizza, AB tacos, baked crab rolls, and Wagyu beef short ribs slow-cooked for 48 hours, offering an incredibly tender texture that melts in your mouth.
In addition to the delectable and creative menu, guests can enjoy premium beverages, including cocktails and mocktails, wine, and craft beers from Japan and Korea, as well as select high-quality spirits, including Akira Back’s own signature brand. This unique spirit comes with the distinctive elegance of pure sake, produced by the renowned Nanbu Bijin distillery in Iwate Prefecture, Japan, which boasts a history spanning over 100 years.
