After enjoying the thrilling Olympic events, #legend_th believes that art enthusiasts will want to indulge in the art exhibitions of Paris, a city rich in art and culture. The first must-see exhibition is 'The Art of the Olympics,' held at the Gagosian Museum, known for its modern and contemporary art collection. This exhibition presents sports art through various artists' perspectives, including Pablo Picasso, the father of Cubism; Andy Warhol, the pop art icon; and Tracey Emin, renowned for her 'Confessional Art' or 'My Body is a Work of Art.' Additionally, the exhibition features aerial photographs of a 2000 soccer match at Amsterdam Arena by German photographer Andreas Gursky, alongside iconic Olympic posters from past Games. The exhibition aims to showcase the connection between sports and art, with all proceeds from artwork sales being donated to the Olympic Refuge Foundation.

Following, don't miss the equally fascinating exhibition 'En jeu! Artists and Sport (1870–1930)' at the Musée Marmottan Monet, which showcases over a hundred significant artworks. This exhibition shows how sports have been depicted across different eras, from the peak of Impressionism to Cubism, featuring various sports such as rowing, wrestling, and rugby. It highlights the enthusiasm of the French for sports and pays tribute to France hosting the Olympic Games in 1990. Another noteworthy exhibition is 'The Long Run' by visual artist Clotilde Jiménez, held at the Mariane Ibrahim Museum. Jiménez was commissioned to create two collages as posters for the Paris Games, and his original works are on display in this exhibition. The collages feature athletes in swimming, ballet, fencing, and equestrian sports, with precise and beautiful depictions of their movements. The focus is on storytelling and the collective effort of competition rather than individual rivalry.

Visitors to Paris during the Olympics should not miss the photography exhibition 'Le Sport à l’épreuve' (Sport to the Test) at the Musée Départemental. This exhibition emphasizes the autonomy of sports and photography since the late 19th century, when modern Olympic Games were first introduced, and images became a primary tool for promoting events. For instance, the exhibition includes a photograph of a hockey player from the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, capturing the sensation of speed and agility. The displayed photos are drawn from the permanent collections of the Musée Olympique and Musée Photo Elysée in Lausanne, Switzerland. Finally, #legend_th recommends 'Il était une fois les stades' at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine. This exhibition chronicles the long history of stadiums, one of the most important aspects of sports competitions. It features images and models of stadiums from different eras, from ancient Greece to the present day.
