“…A Fusion of Visionary Style and Creativity from Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons…”

When discussing Italian fashion houses known for their bold use of colour and inventive creative ideas, Prada invariably stands at the forefront. The Spring/Summer 2025 collection, unveiled at this season’s Milan Fashion Week, continues to build upon the brand’s illustrious legacy with great pride. The unmistakable futuristic identity took centre stage, captivating the audience with a show that was as enigmatic as it was enthralling.

From the moment the first models graced the runway, it was impossible to overlook the strikingly avant-garde headpieces. These modernistic accessories were perfectly paired with designs that spoke to an imaginative vision of the future. Whether it was the sequinned dresses, metallic skirts, or sheer feather-embellished gowns combined with neon-hued sporty jackets, the collection delivered an unabashedly futuristic aesthetic that held the audience spellbound.

Yet, despite the bold departure into the future, Prada’s masterful play with colour, a signature of the house remained very much in evidence. A vibrant palette ran throughout the show, seen in everything from sport jackets in various designs, to sweaters, hoodies, skirts, leggings, and an eclectic array of bags that added a playful and dynamic touch to the overall looks.

No discussion of Prada’s latest collection would be complete without mentioning the brand’s famed ‘Ugly Chic’ concept, a term now fondly associated with the house. This time, Prada offered a fresh take on this signature style, using silhouettes, colours, and materials that transformed the unconventional into something undeniably chic. The resulting looks were nothing short of mesmerising, holding the attention of every fashion devotee in attendance.

With Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons at the helm, this collection not only upheld the brand’s rich heritage but also boldly ventured into new, visionary territory, reminding us all why Prada remains one of the most influential forces in fashion today.
