"...The epitome of elevated experiences unfolds as Louis Vuitton launches its bold project in Bangkok under the name LV The Place Bangkok, housing Le Café, the first lifestyle café in Thailand, along with a myriad of tastes at GAGGAN at Louis Vuitton and the dream-inviting exhibition Visionary Journeys, all under one roof..."
Located at Gaysorn Amarin, the luxurious new landmark at the Ratchaprasong intersection, even though it hasn’t officially opened yet and may feel somewhat quiet at the moment, for those who regularly pass by or happen to swing by, the most eye-catching feature of this elegant building, is undoubtedly none other than its grandiose façade design resembling a large diamond. At first glance, one can immediately recognise it as a sign from none other than the world-renowned brand, Louis Vuitton.
The allure of this venue doesn’t end with just being a café within the empire of the fashion giant. It’s poised to become a new destination encapsulating all extraordinary experiences under one roof, under the simple yet profound name “LV The Place Bangkok.” Including Le Café Louis Vuitton on the first floor of the space, which marks its debut in Thailand and its second unveiling in Southeast Asia. It further cements Bangkok’s image as a highly favoured cosmopolitan city.
As interpreted through its name alone, the uniqueness of Le Café Louis Vuitton extends beyond anything else but crafted meticulously in its menu offerings, including the intricately designed Star Blossom Cake, Monogram Cake, Mango Sticky Rice Fizz, along with beverage options like Latte Art, ready to serve a sensory experience intricately woven into the interior design that exudes relaxation while effortlessly transmitting the luxurious identity of Louis Vuitton in every detail, complete with iconic brand motifs scattered throughout the space.
Moving up to the second floor of LV The Place Bangkok, the beauty of the interior decoration and the awe-inspiring product displays by the brand are fully realised, creating an impressive ensemble that leaves a lasting impression. But the excellence of this branch doesn’t stop there, as the retail space within LV The Place Bangkok is a special branch featuring exclusive collections such as the coveted Alma Nano Rainbow handbags in 5 colour tones and the LV Trainer Upcycling, comprising 65 pairs crafted from sharp eyes of the legendary, Virgil Abloh. These exclusive items will be available exclusively at this store, making it the only place in the world where you can find them.
Furthermore, within the store’s space, there are corners dedicated to lifestyle products beyond the brand’s usual offerings. These include items such as dumbbells, table tennis paddles, branded coffee cups, and even stationery, with prices starting at just 2,000 baht. Additionally, the store offers a Hot Stamp service for personalising Maison’s iconic patterns, affectionately named “Nong Vivienne,” specially introduced to commemorate the grand opening of this particular store.
Louis Vuitton also collaborated with the renowned Indian chef, Gaggan Anand, known for his exceptional culinary skills, to introduce GAGGAN at Louis Vuitton. This marks Maison’s first restaurant in Southeast Asia, located on the second floor next to the retail space. Gaggan has curated special seasonal menus for the brand under the concept of the 5 S’s: Sweet, Sour, Salty, Spicy, and Surprise. Catering to those seeking an extraordinary culinary experience. Additionally, private reservations are available for those who desire truly exclusive dining.
The intrigue and exclusivity don’t end there, as Louis Vuitton has announced a grand spectacle with the exhibition “Visionary Journeys,” allowing everyone to experience the beauty of the brand’s rich heritage like never before. It kicks off with an entrance pavilion showcasing all 96 trunks lined up in a row, communicating stories of craftsmanship and timeless innovation that have been passed down through the brand’s extensive history.
This exhibition is divided into four main sections. It begins with a display room showcasing the brand’s valuable heritage from the 1800s to the present day. The next one features a mirrored room surrounded by Louis Vuitton bags coated with chromium, creating reflections that complement the iconic models arranged in the centre of the space. Following that is a display area highlighting the brand’s renowned works, from designs through the eyes of Jean Paul Gaultier to contemporary iconic pieces. Finally, the exhibition concludes with a colourful mirrored room that reflects the vibrant cultural landscape of Bangkok, the City of Lights.
For those interested in the extraordinary stories of Louis Vuitton or looking to experience top-notch offerings from the lifestyle café and restaurant crafted by Chef Gaggan Anand, LV The Place Bangkok is a destination not to be missed.
