In 2025, Hublot introduces a remarkable addition to this tradition, capturing the allure of the snake in exquisite detail across the dial, case, and strap of the Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Snake. This limited-edition masterpiece is available in just 88 pieces worldwide.
The signature open dial of the Spirit of Big Bang reveals the intricate chronograph mechanism, now enhanced with a striking three-dimensional golden snake motif. This captivating design, created using cutting-edge laser engraving technology, is positioned with precision to appear as though the snake is coiling gracefully around the three sub-dials. The result is a mesmerising visual that immediately draws the eye.
The barrel-shaped black ceramic case is equipped with Hublot’s exclusive One-Click strap-changing system. Adding to its allure, the bezel features engraved snake scale patterns, complemented by signature H-shaped screws. The design extends seamlessly onto the black rubber strap, which boasts a velvet-like texture and a soft, lustrous finish, achieved through advanced embossing techniques.
At its heart, the Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Snake is powered by the HUB4700 Skeleton Chronograph Caliber, a refined and modernised evolution of the legendary El Primero movement. As the first high-frequency chronograph calibre ever produced in Switzerland, the El Primero holds a revered place in horological history. The updated movement, visible through both the open dial and the sapphire crystal case back, incorporates technical innovations such as a silicon escape wheel for reduced friction, alongside numerous enhancements over its original 1969 design.
This limited-edition timepiece, with only 88 pieces available, can be found exclusively at Hublot boutiques and authorised retailers worldwide.
