"...HAY Thailand joins Bangkok Design Week 2025 with a special pop-up exhibition, HAY Bangkok Garden, presenting a concept that blends design with social and environmental responsibility. This initiative creates a compact green space that seamlessly integrates Danish design principles with the unique identity of Bangkok, offering an experience that harmonises nature and urban living. The exhibition will take place at Soi Charoenkrung 30 from 8 – 16 February 2025..."

HAY, a renowned furniture and home décor brand from Copenhagen, was founded by Rolf Hay and Mette Hay in 2002 with the belief that "good design should be accessible to everyone". Their commitment is reflected in their minimalist yet detail-oriented creations, ranging from large furniture pieces to everyday essentials such as tote bags, kitchenware, stationery, lighting, and even toothbrushes – all embodying the essence of Scandinavian design.

This year, HAY Bangkok, the first HAY Flagship Store in Thailand and Southeast Asia, takes part in the special Bangkok Design Week 2025 by introducing HAY Bangkok Garden. The project aims to provide greater access to green spaces while transforming an overlooked area in Soi Charoenkrung 30 into an aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly garden.

The exhibition incorporates Colour Crate, HAY’s signature multi-coloured plastic storage crates made from recycled household plastic, as the primary structure for this 100-square-metre garden. It is adorned with native Thai plants, creating a welcoming environment where visitors can relax, appreciate vibrant floral displays, and explore original HAY outdoor furniture. This space exemplifies the perfect fusion of Danish design and Bangkok’s urban culture, aligning with the brand’s philosophy that "good design connects people".

Inside HAY Bangkok, the charm of Bangkok’s historic districts is reflected through contemporary design. The store’s walls are decorated with concave celadon tiles inspired by flowing water, featuring a distinctive light green hue designed by Thai artist Mo Jirachaisakul. These tiles incorporate a traditional Thai ceramic glazing technique using ash sourced from local street food vendors, demonstrating an innovative approach to sustainability.

Visitors can also explore a full range of Scandinavian-style homeware and furniture across two floors of HAY Bangkok. The store showcases living spaces, dining areas, workspaces, and outdoor zones, allowing guests to immerse themselves in thoughtfully designed products. Whether browsing for small home accessories or statement furniture pieces, every HAY product is meticulously crafted to embody simplicity, uniqueness, and exceptional design.

Experience the seamless connection between nature and design at HAY Bangkok Garden during Bangkok Design Week 2025, taking place from 8 – 16 February 2025 at Soi Charoenkrung 30. Immerse yourself in a green oasis in the heart of Bangkok, designed to inspire and offer a relaxing retreat for all.
