FENDI commits to urban biodiversity project in collaboration with AzzeroCO2 and La Nuova Arca

Many might be curious about the backgrounds and stories of both organisations that this fashion giant has partnered with. AzzeroCO2 is a sustainability consultancy association established by Legambiente and Kyoto Club in 2004 to support companies aiming to reduce their environmental impact. In this instance, Fendi has joined hands with AzzeroCO2 to assess the at-risk forest and the surrounding environment of the childcare facility operated by La Nuova Arca, a social cooperative dedicated to aiding women and children in need, as well as guiding refugees and disaster victims simultaneously.
Furthermore, the century-old forest located in the Falcognana area is currently under threat from a parasitic infection, prompting this special project to focus on preserving the ailing and damaged trees while simultaneously restoring the biodiversity of the plant species. This is being achieved through the planting of 14 oak trees along with over 180 other indigenous plant species native to the region.

Additionally, Fendi has also expressed pride in collaborating with La Nuova Arca and AzzeroCO2. The brand has stated that for more than a couple of years in this valuable project, it represents a significant step in environmental conservation and community engagement. The brand has decided to become part of the volunteer corps for various biodiversity projects, with activities taking place on Earth Day (April 22nd), underscoring their commitment to conserving and restoring the habitats within the LVMH group's aim to develop over 5 million hectares of land to be more fertile and healthier by 2030. This stands as a testament to Fendi's dedication to environmental projects and Italy's strong social values.
