As we step into 2025, color emerges as a powerful medium for storytelling, self-expression, and cultural evolution. According to leading global institutions such as PANTONE, WGSN, and INTERCOLOUR. These hues are set to shape the design world across fashion, interiors, and creative industries, offering a spectrum of possibilities to inspire and captivate.

PANTONE

In the world of fashion and design, PANTONE serves as the ultimate authority on colour, creating a universal language that empowers brands and manufacturers to make pivotal colour choices throughout their creative processes. For 2025, the Pantone Colour Institute is setting the stage with its enchanting selection of PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse—a sumptuous brown hue that conjures up the cosy vibes of rich chocolate and robust coffee.

This sophisticated, earthy shade not only stands out on its own but also serves as a versatile foundation that elevates everything from minimalistic aesthetics to lavishly detailed designs in colour-centric industries. PANTONE has curated five distinct colour palettes featuring PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, each exuding its own unique feeling and mood. One such palette, “Relaxed Elegance,” showcases a harmonious blend of beige, cream, taupe, and brown tones, providing a strong and versatile foundation. Together with PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, they establish a new standard of elegant simplicity, unveiling a broad spectrum of design possibilities.

WGSN

In collaboration, WGSN and Coloro unveil the key colours for SS 2025, presenting a rich palette that captures a significant shift towards strategic imagination amidst ongoing disruption and uncertainty. At the heart of this vibrant narrative is Future Dusk—a dark, moody hue that gracefully straddles the line between blue and purple. This enigmatic shade invites a sense of mystery and escapism, moving away from the bold Midnight Plum of AW 24/25.

Following is Transcendent Pink, an understated and elevated neutral that grounds and balances, seamlessly weaving its way into the digital landscape of the metaverse, where the realms of reality and fantasy intertwine. As we delve deeper into this enchanting colour story, Aquatic Awe emerges as a transformative turquoise, celebrating the strange and wondrous aspects of nature while integrating synthetic elements that resonate with contemporary digital themes. This dynamic interplay of fantasy and reality evokes imagery of bioluminescent sea life and fragile ocean ecosystems.

INTERCOLOUR

INTERCOLOUR is a non-profit organisation founded in 1963, uniting an interdisciplinary group of colour experts from national associations and consultants in textiles, fashion, and product design. Biannually, during the INTERCOLOUR congress, delegates gather to present their seasonal colour proposals, drawing inspiration from a rich tapestry of concepts, lifestyles, and environments.

In collaboration with INTERCOLOUR, the inFASH Thai Institute of Fashion plays a crucial role in curating the colours of the year. The selected themes, upon which all representatives reach consensus, are categorised into seven distinct segments, focusing on the six months following mid-2025. One standout theme is “Physcare,” which embodies our inclusive identity while embracing a non-binary and feminist mindset. The vibrant colour palette narrates a story of longevity, evoking a sense of radiance and well-being, both mental and physical. As we explore these hues, we uncover shades that reflect the beauty of the human body, from rosy pinks reminiscent of flesh to pale green symbolising veins, such as Corals, Asparagus Yellow, English Scone, and the vivid yellow of Pesto Calabrese.

The narrative takes an intriguing turn as we delve into the “Inter Generation” theme, encapsulated by the sentiment “Age, why not?” This mantra celebrates the joyful trend of ageing, transforming the concept into a delightful experience. Complementing this core idea, the topic of “Who’s tradition?” invites us to recognise the intricately woven tapestry of modern culture, where traditions are no longer the exclusive domain of any one group but are shared and enriched by a multitude of voices. Striking contrasts abound, such as the interplay of purple against yellow and deep chocolate browns elegantly paired with luminous cream, creating a visually captivating experience.

Moreover, the theme of “Speaking to the Weaknesses within Us” addresses the mental challenges posed by social media while capturing the essence of our inner struggles through vibrant, arresting shades. Inspired by the digital realm, hues such as Sulfur Yellow, Graphite Grey, and Salem Blue come to life, presenting unmistakable vibrancy and energy.
