Upon viewing the collection, it’s undeniable that the essence of summer is embodied when flowers bloom in the garden, revealing their vibrant and fresh petals. Yet, the flowers of Van Cleef & Arpels exude unparalleled freshness and radiance. Crafted with heart-shaped petals in various tones of 18k gold, the Frivole collection truly mesmerises

This season’s highlight is nothing but the fusion of various shades of gold in a single piece of jewellery, starting from a heart-shaped flower petal ring crafted from rose gold and 18k white gold material. Eight flowers in the centre are delicately intertwined to form a graceful bouquet, adorned with sparkling diamonds that accentuate the beauty of the flower ring when worn on the finger. Followed by a meticulously crafted open-ended bangle featuring heart-shaped flower petal motifs made from 18k white gold, arranged in a sequence of seven flowers of varying sizes, adorned with over 300 diamonds. These designs deliver a sense of contemporary precious and delicate, all at once.

Additionally, this time, Van Cleef & Arpels continues its collaboration with Alexandre Benjamin Navet, a familiar French artist who has been working with the maison since 2020. Together, they create vibrant, graphic illustrations of flowers in summer hues, blending seamlessly with the season’s ambience. These illustrations are utilised in designing displays, decorating boutiques, and even serving as graphics for campaign images alongside model photographs.

Looking back into the past, Van Cleef & Arpels has drawn inspiration from the beauty of flowers in various pieces of work. From the iconic round-petal Daisy brooch created in 1907 to the floral bouquet brooches of the 1920s and 1930s, the designs not only showcased flower-shaped jewellery crafted from polished gold to exude radiance but also included Minaudière clutch bags and pearl-adorned pillboxes at the heart, showcasing the craftsmanship of Maison’s legacy. These inspirations have evolved into modern designs that enchant the Frivole collection.
