“…The culinary journey curated by the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park reaches a crescendo with the introduction of The Siam Tea Room, a dining destination that perfectly balances charm and creativity, offering a range of exquisite desserts and inventive beverages in a setting steeped in heritage…”
Nestled within a beautifully restored two-story wooden building, The Siam Tea Room invites diners to indulge in its captivating riverside ambiance. The venue boasts indoor and alfresco dining options, a private dining room, and stunning views of Bangkok’s iconic Chao Phraya River. This fusion of traditional Thai aesthetics and modern sophistication creates an inviting atmosphere that resonates with a sense of history.
Recently, #Legend_th had the privilege of experiencing the many delights of The Siam Tea Room. Beyond the elegant, Thai-modern design inspired by traditional Thai kitchens, it was the exceptional culinary offerings that truly stood out. A highlight of the visit was the signature dessert—mango sticky rice. Crafted with large, ripe local mangoes, premium-quality sticky rice, and fragrant coconut milk, this classic treat encapsulated the rich heritage of Thai flavours. The dessert provided a perfect finale to a memorable dining experience that followed a sumptuous dinner at The Crystal Grill House.
However, The Siam Tea Room offers far more than its remarkable dessert menu. Its adjoining café and bakery serve an array of freshly baked bread, pastries, and beverages, including premium tea selections and high-quality coffee sourced from the verdant highlands of Northern Thailand. At the heart of this culinary excellence is Chef Anukool “Aony” Poolpipat, who draws inspiration from recipes passed down from his grandmother. Using only the freshest, seasonal ingredients, Chef Aony masterfully crafts dishes that transport diners back in time to experience the essence of “Old Siam.”
Signature offerings such as the spicy & sour pomelo salad with mango, BBQ free-range pork ribs, and crab curry with betel leaves are all must-try creations. Each dish reflects the meticulous care and passion that defines The Siam Tea Room, making it a destination where tradition and creativity seamlessly intertwine.
