This landmark exhibition offers visitors an invaluable opportunity to explore the rich heritage of Thai silk, tracing its journey from raw silk threads, weaving, and reeling to the dyeing process, culminating in contemporary Thai-inspired apparel that embodies the unique identity of Buriram’s silk. The event beautifully illustrates the interwoven connections between generations through the cultural significance of Thai textiles.
A highlight of the occasion is the gracious presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, who will honour the exhibition with a royal visit and attend the Gala Dinner in a private capacity.
"Colours of Buriram" also welcomes distinguished guests, including Sabida Thaiseth, Supanan Nirasit, Chotchanok Chidchob, Athiwat Tuethongkham, and renowned actress Mai Davika Hoorne, alongside Buriram United football players such as Narubadin Weerawatnodom, who will partake in this remarkable showcase.
"Colours of Buriram is an annual Thai textile exhibition of great significance. In 2025, we aim to reintroduce Thai textiles with a modern perspective, making them more wearable in daily life and suitable for all age groups. This exhibition also delves into the rich history and intricate craftsmanship of Buriram's weaving traditions, preserving and passing them on across generations under the concept of ‘Wear Thai Fabric with Joy’."

The core theme of this year’s exhibition, "The Gradients," has been meticulously curated to take visitors on a captivating journey through the evolution of Thai silk. The experience is divided into immersive exhibition zones, each presenting a unique aspect of Thai textile artistry:
- The Traditions – A realm of heritage where the splendour of Thai silk unfolds, offering visitors an enriching experience of its historical significance and artistic evolution.
- The Cultivation in Fashion – Showcasing Thai silk’s seamless transition into contemporary fashion, blending time-honoured traditions with modern design to align with today’s lifestyles and redefine its presence in the fashion world.
- The Cultivation in Creative Lifestyle – Exploring innovative applications of Thai silk in accessories and everyday objects, emphasising sustainability through Up-cycling and creative repurposing of textile remnants.
- The Reclamation and Innovation – A dual commitment to preserving traditional Thai silk-making techniques while advancing textile innovations across Thailand.
- See Now, Buy Now Section – An exclusive opportunity for visitors to indulge in Thai textile artistry, selecting exquisite handwoven silk pieces directly from local artisans. Once purchased, these meticulously crafted textiles will be packaged and delivered with care, ensuring an authentic Thai craftsmanship experience.
Beyond the exhibition, Colours of Buriram will feature an exceptional showcase of over 2,000 meticulously crafted textile pieces from all 23 districts of Buriram. Each creation is thoughtfully designed and expertly woven to blend timeless elegance with contemporary aesthetics, ensuring that the Royal aspiration of "Wear Thai Fabric with Joy" continues to thrive while safeguarding Thailand’s invaluable cultural heritage.
This grandest Thai textile exhibition of the year, taking place from 19 March – 16 April 2025, from 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM at Chang Arena, Buriram Province.
