"...The official opening of Balenciaga's fifth boutique in Thailand..."
On 10th January, Balenciaga once again captivated Thai fashion enthusiasts with the unveiling of its brand-new boutique at Siam Paragon. Spanning an impressive 342 square metres, the space is a testament to the brand’s distinctive identity and innovative design philosophy. The boutique features an extensive selection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear apparel, shoes, bags, accessories, eyewear, and jewellery from the latest collections.
Every detail of the store is curated to reflect the unique harmony between heritage and innovation, guided by Balenciaga’s clear and visionary design ethos. The aim is to create an unforgettable experience for every visitor.
The boutique’s striking façade combines elegant grey marble panels and glass walls, complemented by an LED screen displaying visuals from the brand’s latest campaigns. Inside, the concept of Raw Architecture is seamlessly integrated, offering a design that aligns perfectly with its surroundings.
This Raw Architecture philosophy represents Balenciaga’s commitment to sustainability, emphasising the reuse of existing construction elements and minimising the use of new materials. It’s an approach that aligns with the brand’s ongoing dedication to fostering sustainable practices.
The interior features a unique interplay of textures, including smoked, glossy mirrored concrete walls juxtaposed with exposed concrete columns that serve as display shelves and clothing racks. Benches and sofas are upholstered in beige recycled leather, while oversized grey curtains and velvet carpets soften the industrial feel. Black cast resin floors, inspired by the iconic black-and-white chequered pattern from Cristóbal Balenciaga’s original couture atelier at 10 Avenue George V in Paris, add a contemporary touch while paying homage to the brand’s storied heritage.
