Cleanser

The first step is arguably the most crucial. After a day spent exposed to dust, pollution, and dirt, the best way to cleanse your face is with a good cleanser. It helps remove impurities, dust, sweat, oils, and bacteria, preventing clogged pores which can lead to various skin issues.

Exfoliator

To brighten your complexion, exfoliating is essential. It helps remove dead skin cells and promotes the growth of fresh, radiant skin. Regular exfoliation also helps prevent clogged pores, allowing your skin to better absorb skincare products. Ideally, exfoliate 2-3 times a week.

Toner

The third step is applying a toner, which prepares your skin for the next stages of your routine. It also helps balance the skin’s pH and replenishes moisture, ensuring your skin is properly hydrated.

Essence

Next, apply an essence, which contains concentrated nourishing ingredients that provide extra hydration, combat dryness, and tighten pores. Essence helps improve the smoothness and texture of your skin. Those with oily skin should opt for a water-based essence, while those with dry skin should choose one with oil-based ingredients.

Serum

Step five is the serum, which you can choose based on your skin’s specific needs. For example, Niacinamide can help tighten pores and reduce dark spots, while hydrating serums or those designed to brighten the complexion are also great options.

Mask

The sixth step is using a face mask, which offers a deeper level of nourishment. Face masks deliver concentrated ingredients directly to the skin, similar to serums, but provide an intensive treatment. Aim to mask 2-3 times a week.

Eye Cream

Step seven involves applying eye cream around the delicate eye area. It hydrates and rejuvenates the skin around the eyes, helping reduce puffiness and dark circles for a brighter, more refreshed appearance.

Night Cream or Sunscreen

The final step depends on the time of day: use a night cream to protect and repair your skin while you sleep, or apply sunscreen during the day to shield your skin from harmful UV rays and prevent the formation of dark spots and freckles.
