Lunar New Year is undeniably one of the biggest holidays for the countries that traditionally adhere to the lunar calendar. With huge celebrations – think fireworks, red packets, different customs (depending on which country) and lots of food – the holiday, much like many other holidays, inspire a ton of product drops from some of the biggest brands in the world. Nike Air More Money “Chinese Yuan”

Nike is dropping a pair of Chinese Yuan-inspired Air More Money, a sneaker that fuses the Air More Uptempo sole with the Air Money upper. This particular iteration features a removable shroud done up in a black suede, with gold accents and throughout. The Chinese says “welcome wealth and treasures.”

Nike Kyrie 4 “Chinese New Year”

This Asia-exclusive basketball sneaker is a vision, based on Kyrie Irving’s fourth signature sneaker. It features a red suede and mesh upper, featuring intricate floral embroidery.

Adidas “Chinese New Year” Pack

The Three Stripes put out a pack of its most popular shoes, with designs inspired by the Lunar New Year. Including the NMD R2, EQT Support ADV, Superstar and Campus silhouettes, this pack is simple and minimal with a color scheme of white and red.

Adidas UltraBOOST “Year of the Dog”

This special LNY-inspired UltraBOOST celebrates the Year of the Dog with a black and red intertwined Primeknit upper. A subtle homage to the holiday, the shoe features a Chinese character on its tongue surrounded by dog fangs.

Jordan Brand “Chinese New Year” Pack

Of course, Jordan Brand had to get in on the CNY celebrations too. Its offerings include the Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 32 Low. Both feature a similar design scheme, with a black base and firework patterns throughout. Accents include floral embroidery, much like the Kyrie 4 above.

Nike Air Foamposite One “Chinese New Year”

Fireworks and florals seems to be a big theme for these CNY shoes, and the Foamposite is no exception. The shoe got decked out in a metallic upper featuring these motifs, matched with a black upper and translucent sole.
