Luminate Your Time Challenge

21st Hong Kong International Literary Festival

Book lovers, this one’s for you. This November, Hong Kong International Literary Festival returns with The Rebound Edition, highlighting themes prevalent in society today including resilience, recovery, wellness and mental health.

To celebrate people enduring difficult times, featured authors and speakers explore topics ranging from challenges in life in quarantine, work-life balance to rejoice for food, humour, and heritage. Designed by Hong Kong artist Don Mak, the Festival illustration complements the stimulating literature and provides comforting companionship and poetic immersion for bibliophiles.

Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2021

When: November 11-13

Where: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

The 13th Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2021 arrives this November after a delay due to the pandemic’s preventive measures.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the fair will exhibit an impeccable selection of fine wines, premium spirits, champagne and world-class beers. Not just an event that offers wine trading and procurement opportunities where buyers, experts and exhibitors around the world can connect on a professional level, it’s a tasteful experience for consumers, too, who wants to get up close with vino from around the world.

M+ opening

When: From November 12

Where: M+, 38 Museum Drive, West Kowloon Cultural District

Set to open to the public on November 12, the M+ museum is one of the city’s most anticipated happenings in 2021. In six thematic exhibitions, M+ presents around 1,500 pre-eminent artworks dating back to the 1950s to today which showcase twentieth- and twenty-first-century visual culture within an Asian context.

The to-be landmark overlooking Victoria Harbour houses 17,000 square-metre of exhibition space across thirty-three galleries and holds an array of facilities from cinemas, tea and coffee bar to a learning hub and research centre, offering visitors an unprecedented all-inclusive experience. Admission is free for a year for Hong Kong residents with valid identification.

K-pop Dance Festival: The Evolution of K-pop

Where: Grand Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon

Festive Korea organised by the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong comes back with a wide assortment of inspiring events to promote Korean culture and bridge the meaningful collaboration between Korea and Hong Kong.

Of the diverse activities ranging from a cultural marketplace with Korean food to live music featuring Korean music artists and Hong Kong orchestras, the K-pop Dance Festival is expected to stand out to avid K-pop fans. In a series of performances, passionate dancers from Hong Kong take the audience down the memory lane of K-pop music from the 90s to now.
