This year marks the 200th birthday of the man who put luxury lifestyle on the map – Louis Vuitton’s vision to elevate travel trunks signalled the beginning of Maison’s journey as a luxury powerhouse. Celebrating its founder’s birth in 1821, the house of Louis Vuitton unveils a sensational, 90-piece high jewellery collection that captures sparkle, creativity and exceptional craftsmanship.

The Bravery High Jewellery Collection features exceptional interpretations of the house’s emblematic symbols and icons. Emblems like the Monogram flower are reimagined in diamonds and other precious gems.

The collection, says Francesca Amfitheatrof, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director for watches and jewellery, is an ode to its founder’s courageous and adventurous spirit. “Driven by [Louis Vuitton’s] curiosity about the world, he embarked on that incredible journey across France. That’s why we have named this collection Bravery. It’s not a word often used in High Jewellery! Yet these notions of determination and adventure are intrinsic to Louis Vuitton, and we wanted to express them through his collection.”

The collocation makes generous uses of white diamonds alongside precious gems such as sapphires, rubies, emeralds, as well as the colourful likes of aquamarines, citrines, tourmalines, peridots, amethysts, iolites and rhodolites.

Among the most representative of the spirit and identity of the house is the Le Mythe suite of rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces. The designs feature several Louis Vuitton motifs like the Damier, the Monogram flower, as well as studs and rope inspired by the Maison’s travel trunks. A 19.70-carat Sri Lankan cabochon sapphire, an 8.64-carat Colombian emerald and a 7.11-carat Madagascan sapphire anchor the Le Mythe necklace. The sparkling white brilliance of the accompanying white diamonds accentuates the lush hues of the coloured gems.

Rings and bracelets featuring the Daimer checker motif and the Monogram flower imagined in emeralds, sapphires and diamond complement the Le Mythe necklace.

These designs are just some among the 90-piece collection that pays tribute to the house’s legacy as well as its futuristic vision. The Bravery High Jewellery collection is a sparkling, brilliant celebration of 200 years of exceptional excellence.
