What were some resolutions you set for 2020 that you managed to keep?

I wanted to spend more time with my family and I’ve definitely been able to do that this year.

2020 was a tough year to say the least – what you have learned?

I learned how to use Zoom! But also, I’ve come to learn the importance of being more flexible, especially when it comes to dealing with uncertainties. I always remind myself to think about others.

What resolutions have you set for 2021?

Just continuing to put my family first! With the social restrictions in place, I’ve actually been able to spend more time with my family, so it’s been good in that sense. I also hope everyone stays active during these times, as it’s important to keep moving!

What’s something you accomplished in 2020 that you’re proud of?

I helped an artist that I manage (YoungQueenz) with his new album launch and we did a pop-up at Still Home in Causeway Bay, creating a physical experience for the album. It’s been two years in the making and we were finally able to launch before the end of 2020.

2020 was a year of self-reflection for many – what you have learned?

The importance of finding what makes you feel good and comfortable. With things being restricted and traveling being near impossible, we’re forced to find what we truly enjoy and to discover new things that we appreciate in our city.

What’s a goal you’ve set for yourself in 2021?

I’m going to be putting more focus on my clothing line, The Private Label, and launching a new collection. I’ve spent quite a bit of time this year working on new designs and prototypes, and will have some exciting collaborations launching in early 2021.

What’s something you accomplished in 2020 that you’re proud of?

Most of the goals I set for myself for 2020 were work-related. I was aiming to release four songs this year, but I switched gears after releasing my third song as the timing just didn’t feel right. In a way, it was actually a good thing, because I started pursuing another music-related project, Lab Zero, which is a cover song series on YouTube. It’s been a really meaningful project for me, as I do duets with the original artists, and hopefully am able to reintroduce these classic songs to a younger audience.

What’s something you’ve learned in 2020?

There were lots of changes this year, and I had a lot more time to focus on my passion projects and develop my YouTube channel. I’ve learnt that I can’t make plans so far in advance – the world moves pretty fast.

Any wishes for 2021?

To be able to travel again – and to also live a mask-free life.

What were some resolutions you set for 2020?

To reduce my consumption of single-use plastic and get back into the gym! It’s definitely been a challenge, especially with the lockdown. Takeaway food comes with so much single-use plastic and the gyms have closed again.

What are some things you’ve learned in 2020?

Self-care is a priority, not a privilege – it’s important to take care of yourself. Freedom is also not free, so we should not take it for granted. And in times like these, it’s important to judge less and love more.

Have you thought about your resolutions for 2021?

Yes I have, actually, and I have a few: learn how to cook (I’ve been looking for cookbooks), remove the negative things in my life, sanitise my personal belongings more often and travel without a map (if possible…)!

What were some of your resolutions for 2020?

2020 was the year where I learned (and am still learning) to be a mother. One of my resolutions for 2020 was to do my best in my role as a new parent and to spend time with family. Thanks to the pandemic, I’ve been able to stay at home more and really settle into my new role as a mother.

At the same time, my other resolution was not to lose my identity at work, which I found tough as I had to juggle motherhood and the lack of jobs due to the pandemic. I keep thinking that I could have done more this past year, but given the unprecedented circumstances, I’m trying not to be too hard on myself and give myself credit for adapting.

What’s in the plan for 2021?

2021 for me will be about opening new doors, continuing to learn and hopefully, the start of new ventures! I’ve been looking into short courses and starting conversations with different people to see where the next year can take me.
