As part of their ever growing ‘Year of Gabrielle’ campaign, Chanel is set to release a new eponymous fragrance, Gabrielle Chanel, and they’ve just announced that Karl Lagerfeld-favourite Kirsten Stewart will be it’s face.
Little is known about the perfume so far, but Olivier Polge (son of Chanel master perfumer Jacques Polge and creator of the latest Chanel No. 5, L’Eau) has returned to compose the scent in collaboration with the in-house team.
Stewart has been collaborating with the brand since 2013 and most recently appeared as one of four celebrity ambassadors for the new Gabrielle bag, alongside Cara Delevingne, Pharrell and Caroline de Maigret.
Both the video campaign, shot by Ringan Ledwidge, and print campaign, by Karim Sadli, are expected to run in September 2017, and will feature the actress’ pre-buzz cut wavy locks.
